Are we about to see the end of that legend?
Did anyone hear him today talking about the credit crunch, the "Trulli Train", "BOOOM" "Autumn leaves falling in Singapore" (doesnt the tropics never change weather seasons?)- Just to name a few.

I have heard some news regarding next year on the BBC for all you British members.
Seems that Jake Humphries (newsround :P) may get the presenting job.
DC may take Blundells Job.
Holly Samos and 2 other guys (cant recall their names) will take over as reporters
And Brundle is in the Box.

Now David Croft is favourite to get the commentary job, but Jonathan Legard, Ben Edwards and even Allen haven't been ruled out.
Got this off another forum from someone in the BBC :S Believe it or not lol

But yes this should be a thread to give our thoughts and feelings towards ITV and the team with only 3 races to go before they end their coverage on F1.

I though Blundell was funny when he was talking about the 'past history' between Alonso and Hamilton.

Blundell is really getting on my nerves, Ryder is a muppet and I can't stand Allen. Dunno what anyone else is gonna be like but surely they can't be any worse. DC could be good for bits n pieces.

I can't wait to see & hear the end of ITV.
James Allen is a moron.
I look forward to next season. I will hopefully be able to appreciate Lewis Hamilton for his driving rather than hoping he crashes just to shut James Allen up.
I am an F1 fan, not a one eyed supporter of any particular team or driver.
So all I ask for is a coverage and commentary that is unbias & informative across the whole field of entrants.
Roll on 2009 & the BBC I say.

I'm not sure who all these people are, if anyone can enlighten me it'd be appreciated! :)

Holly Samos - does she do Moto GP?
David Croft - BTCC? Or is that Jonathan Legard?
Ben Edwards - The 5live F1 radio commentator?

I don't want to even think about the possibility of more James Allen. :P Ted Kravitz does a decent job in the pits, so does Louise Goodman - i wouldn't object to those two moving over. As for ITV themselves, they've set a new standard over here which is just great; remember the limited old BBC footage anyone?!

Holly Samos does the pitlane reporting for Five Live
Croft Five Live Commentator but also did the GP2 on ITV this year
Ben Edwards does the BTCC and other things.

Martin Brundle and David Coulthard will form part of the broadcast team when the BBC takes over F1 coverage from ITV next season, Pitpass has learned..

The main team will consist of Brundle, Coulthard, Jonathan Legard, Lee McKenzie, daughter of Daily Express F1 journalist Bob McKenzie and currently covering A1GP for Sky Sports, and Jake Humphrey, the youngest ever presenter to host Football Focus and Match of the Day and who has also enjoyed stints on both CBBC at The Fame Academy and BAMZOOKi.

While we understand that McKenzie will work in the pits and Legard will form the commentary team along with Brundle, McKenzie and Brundle will film the majority of the features to be used in pre-event build-up.

With the budget said to be even less than ITV is spending - come on, how do you think the BBC finances garbage like Bonekickers, Hole in the Wall and Eastenders - it is believed that Humphrey will be based in a London studio - much like Sky's A1GP coverage - along with Coulthard, though this has yet to be finalised.

With Coulthard also fulfilling a consultancy role with Red Bull, and having a keen, non-PC, sense of humour, the BBC would be best advised to have the Scotsman on site haranguing his former rivals.

Brundle has been an excellent commentator I would love it if he was commentating next year, DC and Louise Goodman would be a great pair for the pitlane reporting and I don't know who could do the other stuff.

If they keep the BBC coverage in the MOTD studio it is going to be s***. Ads or no Ads.

Gary Lineker: Meanwhile Alan Shearer caught up with Kimi after qualifying yesterday for a quick chat...

You can see where that one is going. And don't get me started on Motty and Lawro.
