Why when every gram in weight is so important is Alonso allowed to be weighed holding a towell,in front of the tv cameras ,must be at least 0.5 of a kilo???!!!!

Nothing against Alonso he won fair and square, but everything Hamilton seems to do is raked over to the extreme!!!

Im just waiting for the antiLewis brigade to say yet again that he's a poor sportsman. I saw him congratulate Alonso at least three times and he was delighted fot Nicco. He also recognised the good driving of his competitors.
No doubt that will be overlooked :rolleyes:

"DID YOU SEE THAT LEWIS PUNCHED NICO IN THE CHEST WHILE HE WAS DRINKING"

newbie in this F1..why actually required weigh-in..any punishment for any misconduct?? :)

It used to be that only the cars were weighed, so that a minimum weight was observed which would remove any advantage from engineering lightweight parts that were dangerously weak. This however meant that small and/or skinny drivers got an unfair advantage, which is how Ukyo Katayama did so well and why David Coulthard once had mild anorexia, so now it is a minimum weight for car and driver combined.

That's what I am getting at, if picking up dirt on the tyre during the in lap could be crucial then a towel becomes significant,picky maybe but you can bet if somebody was found the same amount under weight they would be punished.
