This one is kinda hard to call

I didn't agree with Spa, and I don't agree with the start.
Don't want a big crash. TV pictures are poor, don't show us Heidfeld and Alonso just as they go to turn in.

It will be easy for people to claim Alonso deserved the penalty - especially when ALonso condemned Hamilton and that. Suppose the likes of me will have to be braced for the backlash.
Certainly they shouldn't penalise him for that - same with Hammy in France.
I think in a later replay it shows a better angle and Alonso slowed down quite considerably when he cut back on track and a few cars breezed past him.

they are not going to because a few other drivers did the same thing, they shouldn't penalize him just has they shouldn't of penalized Hamilton.

Well, a Mclaren would be involved if he was given a 25 sec penalty so you could say that no penalty is in Ferraris favour in this case :p

I do not want to see any more results decided like Spa and think Alonso deseved that win.

He would of won anyway lets say he get the penalty was droped further down to the field to say last then had his pit stop anyway then the sc comes out and he just over takes everyone at pits

Sadly it appears that the FIA will manufacture a title battle at all costs.
But they will let other things pass if it improves the spectacle.
They could have slapped an investigation notice on Hamilton earlier in Spa. They had the time to say car 22 was under investigation but instead they let the race go on to keep the excitement flowing.

I heard Brundle and Allen mention this, but in all the excitement I forgot about it. Having watched that clip of the start on You Tube, it seems clear to me that Alonso cut the chicane to pass Hamilton. Just before the camera switches on 12 seconds, you can see Alonso was just under half a car length behind Button and made no attempt to allow him to re-pass. Alonso drove brilliantly all weekend, but rules are rules, I'm afraid. A penalty should have been given. It also shows to me what a snake Alonso can be. He was preaching how wrong Hamilton was in Belgium and what he should have done instead, only to do something much worse a month later. Another oddity this weekend was why Massa was penalised for an unsafe release form his box in the pits when he was not penalised for the same offence in Valencia. The penalty Massa received today when he was no longer in the action was just, but I'm miffed as to why he was not penalised last time. This goes for other teams and drivers who have got away with this in the past.

Yes I do agree that It was open to a penalty.But you've said yourself how rules are interpreted. Many themselves have been annoyed when other drivers have been penalised for doing similar things.
Alonso got away with it - he may not in future.
Again there are no fixed rules in F1 anymore. Its getting to the stage where things are just made up.
Oh well nothing can be changed. Hamilton's court ruling basically came to the conclusion that stewards decision are final.

I for one think he was lucky to get away with it.
Yet I felt sorry for Hamilton in France for a similar situation. (you get what I mean)
