I wondered that. It certainly didnt look like Filippe's fault. Couldnt help feeling sorry for him. Felt sorry for Lewis after Spa though. Divine justice??

Surely that light system will be banned, it's completely farcical.

Definitely not Massa's fault, but was in the mechanic's fault or is it a dodgy sytem? I liked the curved mirror on the lollipop like they had a few years ago, but this needs work.

Pretty pointless as well, just to top things off!!

A ferrari mechanic has had to be taken for medical checks - AGAIN. This system better be gone by the next race.

Again it proves it's dangerous, and I think it should be banned.

I was thinking it was divine intervention today.

I think its more so the dodgy system which is why it should be banned. Lollipops are a little safer, but hey Red Bull almost had a moment with Coulthard today too.

Yeh but it was avoided because he realised and stopped because the lollypop was still there wheras with massa there's was nothing to stop him.

it could of been really really dangous tho what if that pipe had hit somone or a car had run over it and it had made massa hit another pit crew?

Ah now because it's Coulthard that's an entirely different problem. ;)

Ferrari's system is stupid, it needs banning. Afterall what's wrong with the good old fashioned lollipop?

You know I thought that same thing too when they first used it in Bahrain, I think. I believe its just Ferrari with their head up their arse thinking they need to update an already good system.

I don't see how it atones for Spa at all. Regardless of whether Hamilton was allowed to win the race or not in Belgium, today's race was a new race, so what happened would have happened anyway. It wasn't Massa's fault, for the light went green, but I would love to know what exactly went wrong. It seems to me - and we don't know for certain yet - that the guy with the fuel rig hit his button as he was about to pull off the rig, but it jammed, so it was too late; the light turned green. The machine cannot think. It couldn't recognise the problem with the rig, nor could it see that Sutil's car was nearing the Ferrari pit box. A lollipop man would have seen these dangers. The penalty Massa got today was deserved, for the pit lane is so narrow at the circuit compared to others.
