Now, this really is an embarrassing weekend for Massa. For Massa (7 time world champion Michael Schumacher's protege) to start out pole position and end up P3 after T2!, and then end up P5 after Hamilton (rookie, 2nd F1 race) was able to "trick him into out-braking himself".

Will Massa overcome this in time for next weeks Bahrain? Or will the results of the Australian GP combined with this embarrassing outcome in Malaysia get the best of him?

Oh, lets not forget DC, looks like they couldn't fix that brake pedal hitting the steering column problem. For all the technological problems for a F1 team to have, this takes the cake. Hope they can solve this mysterious problem in time for Bahrain, good luck RedBull!

I know, Massa can't keep his head it seems. Sad because he has skill, but Kimi is more than showing he is worth the extra money and can get the job done. But would Michael Schumacher have won in Malaysia if he were still racing?

Without a doubt, I cant remember the last time I saw MS broke under pressure.

Japan 1998 - Stalled on the grid

And also sometimes you didn't need him to be under pressure to make mistakes, a'la Monaco 1997.

LOL, Yeah I guess 10 years ago he made a few mistakes. But, we were talking about Sepang if I remember correctly, correct?

Well, Massa wouldn't have won the race even if he had not lost his temper

I suppose that's possible. I don't really care who wins, as long as its a close battle like last year. I just feel like laughing at DC right now, anyone else ever get the DC laughs? He hehe HAHAHA!@!

After all of the off season hype, and Massa winning the poll there was ALOT more to be expected of him in Malaysia. And with Kimi driving as well as he has even more pressure is going to mount on Massa, without Micheal there to keep hime level headed i think it will be a less then satisfying season for Fillipe, he tries to hard when the pressure mounts.

If Massa starts P5 or lower on the grid and wins the race by passing Raikkonen, Hamilton and Alonso, then he'll have made up for his performance in Malaysia.

Monaco Qualifying 2006?!

Massa seems to take a couple of races to get back into the flow of racing, he was pants in the first few races last year too. He'll raise his game in a couple of races and push Kimi and Alonso (and Hamilton if he's allowed to race?) for the title.

Oh yes, how could I forget the great 2006 Monaco conspiracy. But that was not breaking under pressure, that was just part of the strategy :D

I just laughed when I heard what all the other drivers and pundits were saying, especially Keke Rosberg when he burst out with "THAT WAS THE CHEAPEST DIRTIEST THING I'VE EVER SEEN IN F1!!!".

Massa's excuse of losing out to FA and LH is that his pole slot is on the wrong side because the racing line is from right to left going into turn 1.

"In Malaysia, for sure it doesn't count so much because you look at the cars coming from the right and going to the left but going to the left more at the end of the straight," he said.

"So I think when you pass the grid, you are more on the right than on the left, or maybe you are in the middle, so the difference there is almost nothing from one side to the other."

Is he right or is it covering the fact that his driving was below-par that day?

If Massa was that bothered he could have asked the race stewards to make the cars swap sides. When Senna had this problem at Suzuka in 1990 he at least tried to make the stewards move the pole side to the clean side of the track. Of course, the stewards didn't, and we all know what happened at turn 1 come the race... :)
