Williams and McLaren were on downers. It happens to everybody at some stage. Ferrari didn't win the drivers' title from 1979 to 2000 or the constructors' title from 1983 to 2000.

And now we are making up for all those lost years. Why McLaren must pay dearly.

Ferrari were so bad back then - to coin the old phrase - they weren't even at the races. Williams and McLaren for the most part were winning everything in sight.

To be honest, they seem to have imroved slightly this year dispite the open admissions that Kimi should support Massa (team orders???). Jean Todt is a repugnant man and I really hope he doesn't take over from nazi Maxxy.

To be fair, the rule book states "Team Orders that could influence the outcome of a race" are banned. But if Kimi is to play a support role to Massa, as indicated, then how is that not influencing the outcome of the remaining races?

That rule comes under section 39 of the sporting regulations which is entitled 'The Race'. In other words, provided a team doesn't discuss team orders over the race, they're fine.

It may seem wierd to a tifosi, but the FIA have rules against team orders. Most other teams follow and obey the FIA's rules.

Yeh and maybe just maybe the Tifosi are not as gulible as some.

Common guys, get serious...all teams are using teamorders. It's nothing new.
Let's put is this way, if Lewis needs help from Heikki in the comming GP's, I wouldn't blame Mclaren to
use certain strategies. What's wrong with some 'teamwork' ? (Okay, I'm not talking about incidents like Austria ...Schumi - Barrichello ...).

My point is just that every team make up their strategies before and during a GP, including certain agreements and understandings. I think a lot of people in here are making this issue a bigger thing than it really is.

I agree and disagree. All teams have team orders insofar as they have to work out which driver is going to stop first or if two drivers are getting in one another's way, for instance. The system Ferrari operated in the Schumacher era, however, cannot be compared to those things.
