guys this has been buggin me for a while

Martin Brundle ex-F1 driver and current ITV Commentator seems to never want to do the Hungarian Grand Prix. In fact i dont think hes done it since at least 2006 ( and maybe even longer than that )

If you remember Anthony Davidson did the commentary of the HGP in 2006 along with James Allen and in 2007 and 2008 1996 World Champion Damon Hill has done the commentary at Budapest.

If anyone knows why he never commentates there i would just be interested why he never does it

has he got maybe a family event back in England or some sort of racing event with his son Alex that he likes to attend to

i dont know but if ya could tell me youd save me a lot of wonderin

I think that he goes on holiday with his family around that time and so cannot be at the race but he is still watching because he writes his weekly column for the Sunday Times on what happened at qualifying at the GP

I know he used to race in Le Mans around that time, though nowadays obviously that isn't the case. Maybe it's just become a tradition for him to not be there.

He's entitled to a break. Hell, he needs it having to sit beside James Allen Grand Prix in Grand Prix out!

He always takes his family break at this time. I remember he used to skip Montreal when it clashed with Le Mans and Brundle was taking part in it.

Always seems odd that someone that only does a few days work every two weeks needs time off.
