The majority on this forum, not in the whole world. At least 80% percent of the world F1 supporters go for Ferrari. This forum is probably 0.0001% of the worlds F1 supporters. And these many supporters are not lambs. They just know what a real team is. And besides Ferrari sounds better than McLaren as a name. In general all Italian names sound better for car names that English/Scottish names.

You see, this is what annoys me about Ferrari. I agree, Ferrari are the oldest team in Formula One and kudos to them for that honour, but I'm afraid there are a lot of old teams in Formula One who have 'emotion, tradition and history' other than Ferrari. Apart from being the oldest Formula One team, what else have Ferrari done for the sport? Very little. Lotus, and, to a lesser extent, Cooper, McLaren, Brabham and Tyrell are the teams that have come up with most of the interesting innovations in Formula One.

To state that Ferrari is 'nothing more' than the oldest F1 -team is not correct. Are you serious ?

The Scuderia did a lot for the autosport. Maybe they were not the most innovating organization, eventhough we musn't forget they also build the most innovating sportscars ... they're getting their knowledge from somewhere.
Of course, there was Lotus, Cooper, Brabham, Tyrell...there WAS...but unfortunatly that's history.

There's still Mclaren, and Like I wrote before; it's a great team. The greatest competitor of the Scuderia, by far.
Just strange every driver dreams to step in that red car...finally. Strange Ferrari has got the most supporters.
It's all great...the ultramodern headquaters from Mclaren, amazing. Clean, effective, professionel.

Did you ever go to Maranello ?
It's all very simple, not that sofisticated,...but there's a soul...tradition...you can still feel 'Enzo Ferrari' presence.
Maybe it's because it's an Italian team ... I don't know.

Signor Ferrarista, talking sense to the McLarenites is like talking to a monkey. They don't get what you say because they cannot accept what you have written above is correct. Sad but true. They just wish that McLaren could have all that rich history and herritiage that Ferrari has. But although McLaren does have a big history and has been around along time, they simply cannot compare to Ferrari. Simple. They just are as thick as a brick because they do not get it.

Like you would know Bud. Here is an example. Colin Chapman called Lotus a Lotus and not a Champman because Chapman sounds like...... Gayish! Jaguar, that wasn't the surname of its inventor either. Maserati, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Lancia, Romeo (From Alfa Romeo and if you pronounce it properly as in Italian it sounds good not like this bullshlt Romeo and Juliet pronunciation), Bugatti (Although French the name is Italian as is its inventor), Ducati, Cagiva, Aprilia, Bertone, Pininfarina, Giugiaro, all these names sound 1,000,000 times better. And if pronounced correctly better still. Forget FIAT that is an abbreviation anyway. Fabbrica Italiana Automobile Torino. Oh and Bud this isn't bias because it is coming from me. You should know by now that my name isn't Italian but Slavic so I don't make opinion as a biased one but more as a fact.

It's always the same old clap trap coming from the tifosi. They're the only team with passion, they've got the biggest fan base. I've heard it all before and it's just rubbish. As I said the other week, where were all the tifosi from 1983 to c.2000? Save the Italian and San Marino Grands Prix, I don't remember seeing too many of them. For what it's worth, McLaren would have had a road-car programme had Bruce McLaren, who, by the way, did have a passion for cars and racing, not have been killed. Ferrari are legendary team, but let's not get carried away that they are somehow well above everybody else.

Let's just say we both love 'our' teams. I didn't say Ferrari is somehow more important than Mclaren. I just wrote what my feeling about the Scuderia is like, just like yours when talking about Mclaren. So that's fine...
I think it's important that we can discuss all this without an aggresive attitude.

In 1983 I was 3 years old... From 1989 I started to follow F1 and I immediatly loved those 'red cars'. I've been supporting them ever since. Even if 'we' knew some hard times in the '90 !

It's logic fans aren't that 'loud' when their team is struggling. Remember all the Alonso-fans with their flags, shirts etc.....where are they now ? So I know what you mean. But not everyone is like that. The Die Hard-fans still exist ... look at yourself and count me in too

mate Schumi is my f1 hero as well along with all the other drivers that have raced for Ferrari ( with the exception of Ayrton Senna and Mika Hakkinen ) I am also a noobie around here and its good to see another Schumacher fan that respects his talent and well i know he isnt the most perfect and most popular driver ever to race and made some silly mistakes in his life but still a bloody quick racer!!!!!

McLaren Fan you are full of it. I remember plenty of Ferrari flags at every GP in the 90s so stfu. And now I remember who made the comment of either 75% or 80% of the worlds F1 fans going for Ferrari. It was James Hunt. He is dead now. He died circa 1994. I know what I watched was on tape actually downloaded footage as at that age I only ever saw GPs live in either Italian or Slovenian commentry, but I am sure that when I watched a recorded F1 race someone got me and it was in English that James Hunt had said this. So that was in the 90s thus if he said that then even then when Ferrari were crap, we had the most supporters. And blame Bud for me using that abbreviation "stfu". I copied it from him.
