My outlook even though you dont want to hear it is 'Who give's a flying shag about how the trophie's look'?

Winning the Grand Prix is obviously more important than the trophy you get for doing so, but you would still want to lift an historic trophy that is unique rather than some commercialised and common piece of trash.

Agreed but that is not the case and I thought all that matter's, stupid me , is the name and finishing place on the trophy? You know the one the driver display's on his mantle or in his trophy case?

I don't know about the name but an educated guess would lead me tay say the trophy has something like 'Italian Grand Prix 2008 - First Place' on it. As for the trophy cabinet, who knows, although if i remember rightly McLaren don't let the drivers keep their trophies... so it's irrelevant for them :irked::P

Denthúl is correct here's the German GP Winner

And here's Rubens at Silverstone where Lewis got the great looking gold British GP trophy but 2nd and 3rd got these

I didn't notice that until Italy, either way it's still total :bs:

Next they'll be having the drivers blatantly drink a certain brand of beverage during an interview after the race - anyone who has seen nascar may know what i mean. :P

Erm, ok... I would be a bit miffed if i'd won a trophy and i couldn't keep it. I know McLaren keep the real ones at the factory, and by god that would be a sight to behold...

I believe this is true for many teams but as I understand it the drivers can purchase "replicas" for themselves from whomever makes the trophies.

I certainly wouldn't want one of the more recent trophys presented but I used to love the art-glass ones they used to give for the Oz Gp back in the 80's and 90's
