SV may well rue his decision to drive for Red Bull next year...

indeed, that renult engine is poor, so the aero cant be too bad

how long are rb tied to renault, and when is it engines can be modified, renault need a better one!

Rumors have it that RB is looking into changing engine suppliers, but I thought I heard or read that they already signed up again with Renault?

i heard a rumour that Honda were to supply Torro Rosso with Ferrari supplying RBR next season but Torro Rosso will not share the same chassis next year as RBR so jumping ship to RBR would be the best move for SB to stay in the redbull family

He should replace NH at BMW Sauber! :spaz::yes-90:

a 1 year rbr contract is the best bet, could be in a top team the following year!

He'll have at least 2 years. His clause with BMW can be triggered after the 2010 season. Ferrari won't have a look at him until 2011 and I suppose so would Mclaren or BMW(if they capture Alonso). Likely destination for him in 2011 will be BMW. But never say never he could still stick around with RBR, if they bring in the right personnel. They've got the funds and they're gradually improving.

a Newey car with alot of $$$$ and slicks, i'd wait for a season before switching teams

I predict that BMW Sauber will have the best and most reliable engine-KERS combo next year and thus, will be the team to beat.

big cal!! thats if KERS even is a benefit weight wise

I count on the proverbial German/Swiss precision and meticulousness :thumbup:

Does anyone see any chances of Renault making any great progress for next season?

It just seems strange to me the down turn they took this season even with Alonso in the car.

Id love it, but as we've seen this week with the mass lay offs at Renault... they maybe aren't as financially secure as the other manufacturers

Hopefully they are working on next season. As much of a MS fan as I was, I really enjoyed watching three teams duke it out... and now, if Renault can get back in, we could have four or five major players next season.

They already announced they wouldn't start the season with KERS and probably not at all next year.

well from the latest budget figures Renault werent too shabby at all compared to the other teams so to use that as an excuse is no longer in fashion

Aye, but they gonna have to spend spend spend on part such as the engine to recooperate what they have lost, even with new regs.
Certainly in times of Economic hardships there is a bigger mountain to climb for them, though not impossible... depends who they bring in. Lucas De Grassi looks superb in GP2. Certainly better than Piquet. Heidfeld maybe to?

I think Renault would have a far better chance if the engine freeze was lifted and more technical innovations were allowed.

I agree, it seems that Ferrari and McLaren have the monopoly on developments right now, however incremental.
