well done Lewis if not for your stupidity in Q a 10 pointer probably would have come your way! so now youre 7 points ahead of Massa in the REAL championship just kick bottom form here on now

Also, Kubica is now only fourteen points behind Hamilton. With Singapore and two potentially soggy races coming up, could Kubica go in to the final round with an outside-chance of taking the title?

I just hope Robert can finish the season in front of Kimi in third and he's doing a good job right now to make sure that it happens

Fantastic, composed, assured driving from Vettel - he was helped by the fact that his only real competition (Kovalainen) is complete crap - but nevertheless, well done lad!

A bit harsh :D

You'll get into trouble with Hanwombat :P:whip:

heikki complete crap??? no your comment was complete crap

I get the feeling that Kovalainen will be much more competitive with the regulation changes and some consistency within a team environment. I so wanted him to win GP2 in 2005 and it all came apart at the last round! :(

I think he has what it takes to win a title. as you say with the reg changes i think will favour him also. only problem is i think they will favour Lewis more!

Aye, but you gotta hand it to Rosberg in 2005 for that comeback.
Fantastic Victory by Vettel, a future champion? Certainly he'll be up there in years fighting. Lewis was quite unlucky today, but Massa just got the job done and closed the gap
Raikkonen is now surely out of it. He just blows hot and cold.

Also Torro Rosso have to keep Bourdais, his pace was great this weekend. Pity about the stall, but his luck hasn't been the best this year. We could have had a 1-2 on the cars today.
Kovy is a very good driver, but as on the podium, you could tell that he was quite disappointed with himself.
He needs to try and turn things around and get outta the slump.
Good thinking by Alonso and Kubica also  From what Autosport says BMW may want Alonso now

It's a shame that teams can't enter three cars, to be honest, because I'd like to see Alonso back fighting for the championship (and I think BMW Sauber most certainly will be next year) but I don't want to see BMW Sauber ditch Heidfeld. :/

Does this make Vettel the 6th race winner this season? Who would have thought it?!

After the good performances lately by the Toro Rosso drivers, I was hoping as much, but didn't think it would happen, certainly not at a venerable track like Monza!

Congratulations first and foremost to Vettel, stunning drive, completely deserved it. In a Toro Rosso as well. As James Allen said, so far the drive of the season without question, although Hamilton at Silverstone runs it close.

Second best drive of the day goes to Lewis, when he sparked into life he carved through that field in the wet with incredible speed. It was masterful, and he deserved a podium today. Fate dealt him an unlucky hand with the weather, it was forecast to rain and if it had he would've won. But oh well, it was still a sterling drive and he minimized the damage on his WDC lead.

I've given Heikki enough chances. People keep on saying it's bad luck and he's a really nice guy. Yes he's a good guy but he's just not good enough to drive for McLaren. The fact that he couldn't even challenge Vettel today is pathetic, however good the German was.

Can't wait for Singapore in two weeks. But I'll remember Monza 2008 for a long time, excellent race.
