Ah, smug mode. :P

1.75m seems alright business for us, now he's got a goal (and now we've won) he should progress, as should the team as a whole. Did you watch it on sky? I must say you guys didn't look too great today - although you were away and there were moments where some of your players showed their quality, i was also justifiably concered with your players beating our offside 'trap', which was such a close call sometimes.

I did indeed watch it on Sky. I'd say £1.75 million is a bargain for Hulse. We have not had any creativity in the midfield now for 5 years since Michael Brown got sold to Spurs and Nick Montgomery was DREADFUL, he is one of the least technically able players ever.

Sure we did penetrate your defence a few times but I'm not convinced about Billy Sharp either. He may be a "fox in the box" but he has no pace, gets barged off the ball easy and only seems to get played just because he is a die hard Blades fan. I would have stuck Danny Webber on instead, he's got pace and he was one of our key players in the promotion season in 05/06 and chipped in a fair amount of goals. Or even Jon Stead but NO he's been shipped out to Ipswich on loan and he scored today.

I'm not fussed about getting promoted or not because I can't stand the Premiership, it was in absolutely no way worth the painfully-long-close-season-just-because-of-the-World Cup I had to endure. It was overrated, boring and we got relegated because West Ham got away with blatant cheating and the FIA I mean Premier League gave them a puny fine which was peanuts to their chairman and said "We didn't deduct points because it's too late in the season.".

Stead is a good player, i think we had him on loan at one point. You guys showed enough to say there's no real problem with your team, just a bad day at the office imo. I was immensely surprised to see Gary Speed on the pitch, has he got his bus pass yet?!

Indeed, he's nearly 40. But things aren't going well tonight, drawing 1-1 with Coventry and Sun Jihai has been sent off. :(

You gotta be pleased with Reading... and Forest have fallen into the Relegation zone, so things are good for both of us really. :P We drew away to Swansea, not a bad result there.

Well, it looks like Bernie Ecclestone's money grabbing exploits have now extended to Football....

£50 to watch Championship football. What a joke, I also remember wasting £30 last year just on the ticket to go to the away game at Crystal Palace and we had that joker Bryan Robson in charge, and you can guess what the result was. :(

It's the only thing he was good at as a manager, signing great players but he couldn't get them to play his dreary boring football. As soon as Kevin Blackwell came in he got them to play properly.

Sheffield United in with a chance to qualify for promotion? QPR & Wolves are hot on favourites at the moment. Plus, does Speed still play for the Blades?

Indeed Speed does still play. I'm not really bothered if they get promoted or not because the experience of a season of Premiership football left a sour taste in my mouth. It wasn't worth waiting for with overrated boring teams, rip off ticket prices (nearly £100 for Chelsea away! I went to Silverstone cheaper!), corrupt referees, cheating, diving, Andrew Johnson the Olympic diving gold medalist at his finest and worst of all West Ham cheating and getting away with a fine that their egghead Chairman would find is fiddling small change, and then Scudamore coming out and rubbing it in by saying "it's too late in the season to deduct points and it would be harsh on the fans".

I like it here in the Championship. :)
