That's pretty obscure, I'll have to think about it.

I'll post some questions:

Who was nicknamed:

The first thing I can find is the 1900 Gordon Bennett race organised by the ACF which took place between Paris and Lyons, with France, Britain, Belgium, Germany and the United States competing, with another unofficial French team also taking part. Fernand Charron won for France on a Panhard. I get the feeling that's not the answer you were looking for.

I wasn't looking for that answer!!!

The first FIA championship was named the AIACR World Manufacturers Championship. There were only ever 3 of these championships ever held. But it's the first that I know of that the FIA actually organised and governed a World Championship. It's the firrst that actually has the "then-FIA's" name to it. Other championships were held before, but none of them were the FIA's. I guess the FIA would just set up the international laws of motor racing, and perhaps were the auto-racing high court.

THe FIA changed their name some time before the World Manufacturer's Championship and the first Formula One Season in 1950. I think I've given you enough clues now.... Just Wiki it, and you should have the answer in 5 minutes.

I thought it was very interesting reading, and I'm now turning into a freak at work, coming up with all these stats!!! I'm gonna wiki every single Formula One season for the hell of it.... And then write a book on my findings!

6) In the 1952 pre season, Fangio suffered a near fatal crash, where he was thrown from the vehicle. Hence he did not race in the 1952 Formula One season. (Although, cannot say for sure that that was what you were after...)
7) In the 1964 World Championship, Ferrari raced the last two races of the season in a Ferrari 158 Painted White and Blue. This vehicle won the the championship.

9) 1959 USA Grand Prix, with Maurice Trintignant being the last driver to in history to score a point for having the fastest lap in a Formula One WorldChampionship.
10) Constructed in late 1976 and tested in 1977.
