BULL SH*T!!!!!!

I cannot believe my ears. I honestly cannot believe what I'm hearing about the above post! (If AKR beats me to a reply, then it's the one before... Hi AKR we haven't had a fight in ages... :wavey::D )

Dammit! Why am I always the target! The Stewards decision isn;t my fault!

Quite. Everyone lay off AKR. I'm tempted to say you reap what you sow but let bygones be bygones - she's been scrupulously reasonable about this matter and I'm fed up with everyone laying in on the resident "Ferrari Warrior" just because she's on the opposite side of the fence. You people ought to consider a career in politics...

EDIT:] Wow, Mikey, where did you come from? :wavey::D:rofl:

Simple solution.
Just tell you man hammy to stop making mistakes & then there won't be an controversy.:whip:

I have a new idea for a car horse float. Do you think it will sell ?

His only Mistake in Belgium was spinning and giving Kimi the lead on lap 2.

and the only way to stop the controversy is not in lewis or McLarens hands.

Mclaren could quit formula 1, or would that create more controversy? (Yeah - McLaren would quit F1 because of 6 points.) :hehe:

I'm surprised that James Allen is so objective in his analysis, but, then again, he can be this time because of the nature of the penalty. His analysis is good, only he misses one thing: that there is no regulation which states that you must drop behind such and such a distance and take into account the performance of the car in front of you (and how the hell do you do that anyway?). Why are McLaren not appealing this? There are that many loopholes in the regulations that a good lawyer could find a way for the appeal to be heard, and McLaren could make a very compelling case that they were hard done by. Have the team forgotten that they are up against Ferrari? A couple of points could be the difference between winning and another year of failure for McLaren. But, perhaps that's the problem: McLaren are up against Ferrari and that's what makes appealing such a futile act.

McLaren lodges an appeal :clap::clap: go get back what is rightfully yours boys

Martin Whitmarsh added:
"From the pit wall, we then asked Race Control to confirm that they were comfortable that Lewis had allowed Kimi to repass, and they confirmed twice that they believed that the position had been given back in a manner that was 'okay'."

"If Race Control had instead expressed any concern regarding Lewis's actions at that time, we would have instructed Lewis to allow Kimi to repass for a second time."

Watch this:
http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6ovii ... kimi_sport

0.56 Hamilton storms into the corner, half a car length BEHIND Kimi
0.57 realises that he won’t make it, cuts the chicane,
1.00 engine note indicates he does NOT lift off to let Kimi past, he’s accelerating through the gears
1.06 gets behind Kimi long enough for a tow
1.07 immediately storms past him again into the next corner.

Ballsy stuff and technically, he did give the place back, but he did it only long enough for a tow into the next corner - advantage Lewis.

Incidentally, you can see that Kimi’s spin later (3.10) is due to a back marker on the racing line.

Great vid, watch Kimi position himself in front of Lewis and slam on the brakes too early for the corner (1.06), Lewis managed to avoid him but made it look to some people like he was still taking advantage of cutting the chicane.

EDIT: I was just meaning to the hairpin there but it looks like a similar thing before that leading up to the chicane (0.52) except that Lewis was already behind him when he braked early.

And I can almost hear Kimis cries of 'RAMMING SPEED' (2.20), if Lewis hadn't swerved offtrack to avoid the Williams then Mclaren would've probably been fined for having Ferrari parts in their gearbox.

BTW, to get a tow you're better off actually being behind the other car, Lewis spent only a fraction of a second in his slipstream and if Kimi didn't brake and Lewis was really that much faster then then the Mclaren really would've been quick enough to get past at La source if Lewis had stayed on track at the chicane.

from that ace video,

howd someone get that btw?

id say if ham hadnt pulled off that wouldve been it, someone wuldve crased

And both Kimi and Ferrari would benefit from that even if Kimi was unable to finish. Lewis was the one who had everything to lose.

To be quite honest I am surprise hammy didn't choose just to hit Kimi again.

Yeah, after that behaviour so am I..... er did he hit him before? I've always liked Kimi for his fair racing but maybe spending almost two years at Ferrari has started to affect him.

Ah, got me there, thought you meant in Sundays race.

Canada, was that when Ferrari's pit lights released the car into the path of another in the pit lane? (Please note that I'm in no way trying to excuse Hamilton for his really really stupid mistake there)
