Like you i have watched lewis through several formulaes and and want to see him through to the ultimate prize, but........Its becoming more and more of a farce. That race sunday was great at the end. Any driver could have won or stuffd it in the wall and then the FIA spoilt it. I wish all the teams would walk and just leave ferrari and the FIA on their own.
I did actually lose interest and stop watching for a couple of years a few seasons back, Starting in about 2002 and probably inspired by Ferrari's team orders in Austria, although their monotonous dominance that year didn't help. Ironically it was only the emergence of Alonso and Raikkonen as serious challengers that lured me back in 2005.
This weekend leaves a(nother) bitter taste in the mouth but I think in the end the difference this time is that a) I've been watching Hamilton racing in different formulas for several years now and have too much invested in him to walk away, and b) the championship is so much more exciting it's still worth watching. However, if this silliness grew to the point where McLaren and Hamilton decided to race in a different formula I'm fairly sure I'd follow them without a backward glance.

You can fool all the people some of the time, and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time.
