Hmm, Barrichello only four tenths off the pace? I wonder how much horsepower the Honda engine puts out in comparison to the others...or was he on a light run when he set that? I wonder indeed.

Nice to see Kovalainen on Massa's pace. Not sure how long his run was, though, and whether he'd be able to match him over the race distance, unfortunately. :/

I think this test will probably show where people stand in terms of raw power from the engines. Though, I expected Trulli to be a bit faster, perhaps around Rosberg's pace, because the Toyota has seemed like one of the more powerful engines this season. I guess the FW30's mechanical grip more than makes up for the rest of the car's downfalls here and maybe they'll get a decent result. Might also help Force India get a decent result, seeing as they have a Ferrari power plant.

Williams went well here last year, and they've got some updates for Spa which will finally cure the car's problems with aero circuits. They should come handy for Monza too for corners like the Parabolica.

I swear, if those guys don't put a good car together next year (not a race-winning one, just one that's as good as, say, this year's Red Bull or Toro Rosso (in comparison to the cars around them) would be a step, though I'd prefer it if they could get closer to Toyota's performance level) then I think everyone but me will lose faith in them. They have two of the most experienced drivers in the field, who are massively talented (more so than either of them is rated), they have a guy who was part of one of the most successful teams of the past ten years and who has experience of dealing with Japanese companies, which should be an advantage in making things less corporate and more 'racey' within the Honda team and, lastly, they have a huge budget. All the ingredients are there, but the car isn't. It's frustrating.

Has anyone else noticed the snorkle design on the McLaren along with it's new winglet/aero design in that pic?

I can see a few new bits and bobs on the Ferrari as well. Sadly for it, they aren't hidden too well, so the car looks pretty yuck. Still, it's fast, and that's the main thing. Thankfully, the "Dumbo ears" will be removed from the McLaren, if only for one race.

No that you mention it, it does look superimposed. There are no shadows, the car does not look as though it is on the ground properly etc.
