Laguna Seca would be great. Sadly, because of its pretty poor infrastructure, I can't see it ever working out.
I think it would be frustrating seeing F1 cars at Laguna Seca. I'd guess that they wouldn't be able to follow each other close through the corkscrew, ruining the corner compared to MotoGP.

I dont know what your getting at but I think it would be awesome seeing F1 cars go through the corkscrew. Especially with next years regulations, it would be tight racing.

It would be awesome seeing the cars going through in tight formation. It would be frustrating if we saw them go through an aerodynamics-related half second apart as they can't follow each other. If next year's regulations really do lead to closer racing, then that would address my concerns. But I'm not 100% confident that the new regulations will do what they claim. I'll believe it when I see it.
So is Mickey Mouse going to wave the chequered flag, or is he going to drop it or end up doing what Pele did a few years back when he was supposed to wave it?
The U.S. Grand Prix appears set to return in 2010 although, it's not certain that Indianapolis will play host.
F1 team bosses met with Bernie Ecclestone in Belgium to reiterate the need to get back into the U.S. market as soon as possible.
Indianapolis played host to the U.S. Grand Prix from 2000 to 2007. Ecclestone and circuit boss Tony George have failed to come to terms on a new deal, which has seen the U.S. race left off the F1 schedule for 2008 and 2009.
Honda Racing CEO Nick Fry and BMW motorsport boss Mario Theissen were adamant that an F1 race in the United States is vital for the manufacturers.
Theissen tells autosport.com that finding the right venue will be key.
"If I look at where we sell our cars it is certainly on the east coast and the west coast," says Theissen. "So from that perspective (Indy) is not the ideal venue."
It has long been rumored that Ecclestone has been pursuing an F1 race in Las Vegas, where the series staged two races in 1981 and 1982.
Formula One races were also held in Long Beach rom 1976 to 1983 before Indy Car racing took over that venue.
Ecclestone has also mused about staging an F1 race in the New York City area but there currently are no suitable circuits available
