After 12 races into this season, Kimi hasn't shown what a champion should do. From qualifying to racing he is more like maintaining track position rather than being menacing. I am a big fan of him since Fuji 2005, but I can't see those moves anymore this season. he gives us kind of a laidback, chilled out impression and a lot of people say he has lost his desire to win, but I think he still has a strong will to gain the crown this year again, as you can see in hungaroring as he chases up Timo in the closing stages. Well Spa is 2 weeks ahead, Kimi has a glamourous record there, you guys think he can win after a 5 month drought, or at least get a podium?

Can Kimi bounce back? I'm sure he can. The car can do the goods and he won't have forgotten how to drive.

But will he bounce back? I'm not so sure. I'm wondering if, now that KR has a championship, if he's lost a little bit of motivation. Massa certainly looks much more hungry.

Massa is definitely, imo, ALOT more hungrier for a WDC than Kimi is for a repeat. I have never doubted Kimi's skill but his attitude and motivation, strictly from an outsider's point of view, is not that of what I believe a true WDC should be.

Now back on-topic I would say Kimi has the potential for a rebounding race win at Spa but will it happen I'm not sure. I will be alot happier with a Massa win, I have lost my motivation for supporting Kimi but then again I never did support him I support the team over him.

I think Kimi needs more than just a win at Spa - he needs Massa to score low or not at all in order to have much chance of being the driver that Ferrari back. If it's a Ferrari 1-2, then he would still trail Massa by five points going in to the closing stages and, to be honest, I think Massa may have the better chance of a great result at Singapore (going off his form at Monaco and at Valencia) than Kimi. And if Massa takes the win ahead of Kimi at Spa, then realistically Ferrari would have to write of Kimi's chances :/

if ferrari are gonna favour a driver atm its surely has to be massa, he really us outclassing kimi right now, and the no overtaking way really suits him well

If Raikkonen cannot do well at Spa, there is nowhere he can do well! It's probably his favourite circuit and where he has a history of doing well. If Raikkonen does get a good result at Spa and/or put in a good drive, perhaps his interest in this year's world championship will be rekindled. Personally, I think this is the Raikkonen's final chance to get his act together before the powers that be in Ferrari say, "Enough is enough!"

Kimi can bounce back in Spa and once he is in the right frame of mind Massa cannot get near him. Whether he will go on and win it is another question. I still think that Kimi is a better driver than Massa but his head is somewhere else whereas Massa is focused on the WDC because once Alonso gets into the car he will back playing second fiddle as Alonso will outclass him every week

That's what people said about KR getting into the car.

if he can't win in a Ferrari at Spa then he should quit the sport.

To say that, IMHO, insults Massa. If KR finished second to Massa, then that's not too bad.

But if Massa wins and KR is way down the field/off the podium, that's going to be worrying.

It may insult Massa, but Juggle's remark does have a thread of truth in it. Raikkonen is extremely gifted, more so than Massa, so for Massa to routinely best Raikkonen, something is seriously wrong, in this case, Raikkonen's attitude. Massa has done admirably well to get where he is in Formula One. Raikkonen, however, has been on one big booze cruise for a lot of the time. Based on that, out of the two Ferrari drivers, I feel Massa deserves the title much more than Raikkonen. If you think Massa is a good driver, FF63 because of his comparably speaking mediocre talent but supreme work ethic, imagine how good Raikkonen could be with his genius talent and a work ethic like Massa's! Raikkonen has the ability to become a true legend of the sport, but he has/is squandering it away. It's actually rather tragic. :(
