As per the thread title, having seen qualifying (and maybe some of the GP2), do you like the new circuit?

I think it's very pretty but as a track, I don't think it's a classic and I don't really like it. Although maybe my opinion will change after I've seen the race tomorrow though ;)

I haven't seen it myself yet (I was out racing today) so I'll have to wait until tomorrow to give my verdict.

Too many grey/beige concrete walls for my liking!

I like the track itself. It has a good mixture of corners and there are places where overtaking moves can be performed. It's a good challenge for the drivers and engineers. I am, however, slightly disappointed with the look of the place. The colour of the kerbs looks pretty rubbish, the concrete walls look bland and the venue doesn't resemble Monaco at all. As Sir Jackie Stewart said, the place looks more like a grubby port than a glamourous harbour. The organisers will be working to improve this over the next year or two anyway. They certainly will have the money to do it, for Valencia has been doing well economically speaking in the last while (probably the main reason why Ecclestone wanted a Grand Prix there). For me, however, the most important criterion is the quality of the racing. We shall find out that tomorrow. Personally, I expect it to be pretty good.

GP2 was pretty damn good today, even if Senna and Pantano hadn't ended up with their problems.
It reminds me alot of the late Champ Car World Series events the way the track is designed.
I think things will improve massively over the the next few years.
Need some sponsorship on the walls :P
Or cars in them tommrow...

Exactly. I like the setting, surrounded by all the blue waters and ships, but when you drop down to track-level it's just a sea of gray concrete and it all looks pretty much the same. Further, it seems entirely flat, or at least close thereto, which is kinda dull to me. I kinda like courses with a more natural flow to them, gently rolling over hills and slightly banking curves.

EDIT:
I wish there was another poll option. I don't exactly like the course, for the reasons I mentioned, but I don't exactly hate it, either, and I can't go with "don't care" because I do care.

Well I've reached my verdict and I don't like it. Boring race, but I guess that can be blamed on the aerodynamics and also the fact Mr Tilke designed it. But the Spanish don't half know how to put on boring races.

There should be more bikini-clad ladies at the track, that would make it more exciting.
