- 13 Aug 08, 12:32#60599It reminds me a little of tracks like the Circuit de Gilles Villeneuve, Albert Park etc. in that they are street circuits but not street circuits, if you know what I mean. The surface looks pretty smooth, there are fairly long part of the track that are flat out and the run-off areas are very big, so it's hardly going to be as challenging as the Monaco Grand Prix and separate the most brave and least brave drivers - what street circuits are meant to do. It looks fairly technical, so the engineers etc. should be busy enough, but, again, it's not as challenging to setup the car as some other circuits. The only thing stopping the track from being a bit of a disappointment is that there looks to be a couple of places for overtaking, something we don't see too much of on a street circuit. If that proves to be true, then the track could be a clever compromise between a street circuit and a track which produces decent racing.
