That was the point of that post. Contrast that with Ferrari's approach. They usually go for more experienced drivers - they even sent FM back to boot camp before hiring him as a driver. They wait for the drivers (RK, SV?) to hone their skills at other teams. Just a different approach, no judgment on which way is the better way.
Fair enough, though it sounded judgemental when Demure said it
( i could add that FM needed sending back to boot camp wheras lewis didnt...but i wouldnt stoop so low :) )
FM would have had to make Ferrari boot RB or MS, so there was a more competitive environment - LH simply got invited to fill a vacant seat.
Then Ferrari would also have flung in kids had they had a vacancy. :)
FM had already more experience back then.
But he needed a bit more!
If he was to kick out RB, yes. LH didn't have to kick out anybody. Full circle
Ha! yes we goin in full circle here :hehe: Maybe we should call a truce....or should we go for the quote record??
One point however. Had FM not had to kick out RB just as lewis didnt have to kick anyone out-then presumably Ferrari would have thrown the kid in!:rofl::rofl:
A presumption on your part that I don't share! It's just not in Ferrari's DNA to offer one of their driver seats to an inexperienced (or unfinished) driver. They leave this kind of business to the lesser teams and then snatch the ones they really want - and they can afford doing this as they have the dough and prestige to get virtually ANY driver they want.
I bet they'd like Lewis but I doubt they'd get him
Nuthin to say, just wanted to illustrate how silly this quoting is getting
