Actually the car is a solid daily driver and the only thing need'd now maintenance wise is to get the timing belt replaced and clutch adjustment. The car is a '79 and only has 30K original mile's  ! There is no major restoration issue's that the car need's and he will space thing's out and heck he has 2 more that he drive's on a regular basis so he can still get his fix.

Here is another video:

Here is a funny pic of Alan with one of his other 308's. He is one of the coolest and most laid back people I have ever met and when he sent me this I almost pissed myself  !

I thought I posted this a day or two ago but I guess not as I cannot find my post. Just wanted to share my happiness with everyone about next weekend which will be my post-birthday celebration. My buddy Alan, who has the three Ferrari 308's, and I are meeting up with the Houston Ferrari crowd for the bi-weekly 'Exotics and Coffee' get together and I GET TO BE THE DESIGNATED DRIVE ALL DAY!!! I will be realizing a dream of mine that I have had for the past 25yr's.

The pic above of the red 308 is the one I will be driving and I promise to post lot's of pic's and video!!! :)
You can tell by this pic that Alan is a Texan through and through!

WOOOOW what a killer day it was!! I gots :hehe: my birthday wish and :driving: the Ferrari all day and I think I'm in LUV as I had a constant :lightsabre: !! What an amazing experience it is to drive a Ferrari no matter how old it is as the car would easily pull from the lowest gear and low rev's like butter and once we surpassed 4Krpm's the music started. I told my buddy that this was the best birthday present I have ever been given and I'm pretty darn spoiled. The trust Alan gave me was unbelieveable as he never once complained or got nervous about having someone else drive one of his babie's. Alan want's to sell the car to me, MAYBE, as he has found the VERY FIRST Boxer BB ever made, SN# 01, and is thinking about selling this one and another one of his three 308's to buy it but having only two Ferrari's instead of three is a hard judgement call to make.

Actually no the clutch on the 308 is very light but it has alot of travel before engagement but it took no time at all to learn it. We drove the freeway and in bumper to bumper traffic and the engine is so responsive with the rpm's it was never an issue.

Yes that NSX was stunning yet the pic's do not due it justice, simply gorgeous would be the proper description.

I wonder if its a hydrolic clutch. Are the throws long?

Fantastic pics Tex :) Looks like you had a fab birthday!

Talking of heavy clutches, I was lucky enough to get to sit in a Diablo last weekend...I couldn't put the clutch down at all because it was so heavy

Here are some pic's from this past saturday's meet which I did not attend  because I decided to watch qualifying and then had to headout of town for personal/business reason's. I am very perturbed that I did not go as I could have gotten ride's, and possibly driven, in CGT's aswell as the Lotus Esprit, my baby, that I never expected to showup.

I hope everyone enjoy's the pic's! :)
