It's probably worth asking where's the criss at Ferrari now? Ye of little faith.

From a McLaren supporter's view, I'm disappointed the team did not get a one-two finish, but, given what happened at the start, Ferrari's decent race pace and Hamilton's puncture, I have to be pretty happy. McLaren still won, the constructors' title race is back on and Hamilton actually increased his championship lead!

Yeah I agree!

It was missing a "if only"

Pity, if only he wasn't driving for you.

Then there would be nothing bout Mclaren I didn't like :P

Was Massa the driver of the day? He made a great start, albeit from the clean side of the grid, fair enough. After that, he just did what he usually does: lead from the front, which is not tricky to do in a car with decent race pace and is kind to its tyres, and on a circuit which makes overtaking almost impossible. Glock, for me, was driver of the day. He came back from his nasty accident, looked very quick all weekend, out-qualified his qualifying specialist teammate and drove extremely well in the race. Up until now his season has been mediocre. Like Piquet (and hopefully Kovalainen), Glock will start to get better as well.

The move itself was uncharacteristic, as was holding on to that lead after passing Lewis and Heikki. Staying out front with Hamilton putting pressure on him for most of the race, I expected him to spin, given the way his car was handling on Saturday. His pace was also impressive, given the way that the McLarens were significantly faster than the Ferraris from second practice onwards. Perhaps saying he was driver of the day was over the top, but seeing how easily he let Lewis pass him in Hockenheim and how he didn't challenge Nelson Piquet, you have to say that his performance today was more than just a little impressive.

The Toyota may not be as bad a car as 8-Ball made out, but it's nowhere near as good as a Ferrari or McLaren. Massa did what only what was expected of him as far as I'm concerned. Glock exceeded expectations, getting on the podium in a Toyota after his accident and having a pretty average season anyway.

I didn't say it was, but they have challenged both teams on their off-days this season and, in some cases, beaten them. In Australia, before his accident, Glock was going better than both the red cars and, in Malaysia, Jarno held Lewis off in the closing stages of the race. Trulli also managed to beat Heikki in Magny-Cours. The team have had moments of good speed, some of their qualifying performances in particular have been impressive for the circumstances and the fact that Glock went a lap longer than Hamilton today on that kind of pace shows that they aren't exactly the slow team that people constantly are found to be branding them.

Massa for me driver of the day.
I'm so happy that Heikki won, although I wanted Massa to win and get in the championship lead.

Cant be bothered to read all the posts ive missed so here is my brief summery of the race.

CONGRATULATIONS HEIKKI!!!! I think that will do him loads of good.

Excellent damage limitation by Lewis!

Massa-good drive and despite me chearing when his engine failed i actually then felt desperately sorry for him. Rotten luck.

Kimi- seamed to wake up and realise a race was on near the end. :hehe:

Renault's did well.

Great Heikki win who despite not being able to fully challenge Massa, was not that far off. Had a good celan levelled race. I feel this could be his turning point, as he did last season...

Terrible heartbreak from Massa. Terrible. This could have been his most memorable win... but heck :censored: happens.

Lewis had a tyre failure, again. So yeah, something to get upbeat about :)

Kimi and Renault did ok. Pretty decent but Kimi better up his qualifying... maybe start training with Nick Heidfeld.
