"Fairly sure". Come on, that totally smacks of BS. Especially when it's a driver who has a reputation for being hard on his tyres on a circuit that eats tyres as well. Oh and the fact there was really no debris to be picked up either. You really think Bridgestone would turn round and say 'yes, our tyres failed in the conditions'?

Bridgestone wouldn't need to lie. They've got a ready-made excuse, i.e. Hamilton chewed up his tyres again. Punctures can happen; they are not some rare occurrence. Further, another driver had a puncture today if I recall correctly.

Well...

That article makes it sound more feasible, despite still conveniently ignoring the lack of actual debris on the track.

EDIT: does anyone know if Massa's engine was on it's first or second race?

EDIT 2: apologies for the short post; had to run off to the pub earlier! :P

To expand on my point, yep, Sutil also had a puncture, but given the circumstances today, it's entirely possible he overdid his tyres too, no? I just totally don't buy into the Bridgestone explaination.

I may not be a Hamilton fan per se, but i'm not one to blindly slate him without reason. I honestly think his driving had something to do with his tyre issues today.

And to reply to another post about BMW's development 'issues', i think i agree that they have sacked off their development on this year's car - if their reputation of not bothering after a certain point in the season is true, and the evidence does seem to suggest that.
