Well done to Massa. Excellent drive but my driver of the day has to go to Timo Glock.

I would agree and Timo is also my driver of the day for sure!:hehe:

The driver of the day has to be Timo. As good as Massa was he is in a Ferrari whereas Timo got on the podium in a Toyota that is about as useful rabies. Well done Timo! :D

I don't think that's the case. The Toyota has shown on several occasions this year that it has the pace to challenge Ferrari and McLaren on their off-days and this kind of performance bodes well for them. They've been working for several seasons now to get things right and I think that, like Red Bull, they have finally started to do so. Maybe next year will be another step forward for them.

All these ppl sayin' he wouldn't have the win IF massas engine didn't go, well he wouldn't have got it if Hamilton didn't get the puncture either. A win's a win, Well done Heikki and F*** all the IFs.

Congratulations to Heikki. Whilst he wouldn't have won under normal circumstances, he was set for a podium finish today, which is an improvement over recent form. Hopefully this will boost his confidence in the same way as last year at Renault. Secondly, it was unfortunate for Massa who was clearly the driver of the day and the most deserving of the victory. Glock really impressed me today, too, especially after bouncing back from his huge accident and the second one for him of this season.

Lewis did very well not to over-drive after his tyre problems and I was quite impressed by that last stint, going for so many laps on the softest tyre Bridgestone supply on one of the hottest tracks. Piquet seems to have been motivated by Hockenheim, which is brilliant news, because I knew that he had the talent to perform at a higher level than he was doing. BMW Sauber, though, seem to be going backwards whilst Toyota are moving forwards. Their place in the WCC is, I feel, secure, but now they absolutely have to shift all focus to next year if they want to keep moving forwards in the grand scheme of things.

ITV really annoyed me by only showing Lewis' reaction on the TV today. We had a first-time winner, a first-time podium visitor and an entertaining race, considering it was Hungary, but all we got was that one clip. I really wanted to hear from Heikki, just like I wanted to hear from Nelson two weeks ago.

And, finally, congratulations to Damon Hill for doing a really good job on the commentating in place of Martin Brundle. Whilst I think Brundle is the better commentator, this is only Damon's second race and it maked a nice change hearing him talk during the race.

:)

Great post.

HK will be :drink: me tthinks!! :hehe:

Haha, so will I. I've been waiting for this for a while now. I've had most of my hopes fulfilled this season:

BMW Sauber victory
Rubens on the podium
Piquet getting on top of his bad form
Heikki winning a race

Now for the all-important Force India points. Once those come, everything I wanted from this season will have come about. Well, almost. I wanted Honda to be a little better after their impressive form in Australia and the test they ran a week before that race. But I can't have everything, can I?

Now here's to Heikki winning two or three more races this season! :drink:

I am joking people!!! A win is a win and I take nothing from Heikki. However I think he would rather win "legitimately" if that's the right word.

@ hannah: wouldn't you rather he won it "legitimately"?
