OMGZ Mclaren should be fined £8m and moved back 15 places on the grid for every race ever!

Have similar penalties been given for similar infractions in the past? I think that the refuelling oops is of lesser magnitude than speeding in the pitlane. At least when considered from a safety point of view. But perhaps these infractions need to be taken more seriously to stop drivers/teams doing them.

Did the team gain an advantage due to getting out on track at a more suitable time (or before the cutoff) that they wouldn't have if they stopped the engine?

Mclaren should of been fined, though I hardly doubt Heikki is feeling the strain of loosing 5,000 euros

No he isn't but he is still being fined for somebody else's mistake

Well he was driving the car at the time so he could have turned the ignition off. I doubt he's THAT familiar with the rules though.

Anyway, as for the penalty I think it's pretty sensible. No-ones going to say he gained any material performance advantage, nor that he put anyone else at a disadvantage, so it's a fair reflection of the nature of the infringement.

Definitly more more of a sasfty concern than a advantage so the penalty was spot on. Lets hopoe the Fia keep it up
