Ok, so it's Lewis on pole after all, Felipe couldn't make it. But he tried. Question is, will McLaren finally score a 1-2 victory, because they have a pretty good starting position. It'll be fun watching. On the other end, Piquet seems to have reverted to his previous self :punch:.

Lewis put in another amazing drive to secure pole position, hat's off to him and McLaren. My team Ferrari, especially Kimi, is really starting to piss me off with their lack of being able to secure poles or even keep pace with the other top team's.

The race should be interesting and it will be exciting to see how the strategies playout.

Likewise Tex I also am getting annoyed. It seems without the brains of Ross Brawn coupled with a Kimi who doesn't seem to care the team might as well hand the world title to Lewis. Ferrari are always strong at this track so it isn't the car that is the problem. Its lucky for us that BMW have seemed to dropped off the pace a bit

If Ron Dennis is smart he will use the tactics Ferrari used with Michael Schumacher in the past. Ie if Kovalanein is winning and Lewis Hamilton is in second place, somehow without making it look to obvious make them swap positions so Lewis Hamilton wins. I know you McLaren guys don't like it but if McLaren is to win then that is what needs to be done. Remember Kimi won by a single point last season. Now imagine Massa didn't come second in that last race the Brazilian GP and instead came first and Kimi second. It would of meant that Lewis Hamilton would be world champion. Big difference. :)

I fail to see the need. There's been very few races where Heikki has been in such a position where he would be able to help out Lewis directly, because if Lewis isn't ahead of Heikki he's usually had a problem and ended up a long way behind him. There are no spare cars any more, and McLaren have no issues about being unable to produce two equal cars, so that aspect is out of the window as well. What McLaren need to focus on is putting Heikki in a position to take more points off Ferrari more often, because that's what's really needed. The team that needs to worry about which driver to favour is Ferrari because neither driver has stamped their authority on the other, but I really can't see Kimi moving over for anyone.

I don't like the starting grid. And if the race finishes like that or worse still a McLaren 1 and 2 it is really going to piss me off. Why cant it be BMW Vs Ferrari instead. At least that way I wont get pissed off if BMW were to actually win. :banghead::irked::bs::vomit::shrug::thumbdown:

Bad luck for Williams again, but Nico didn't sound too dissapointed, Kazuki believes he was too conservative in Q1. So all's not lost there.

I'm fed up of seeing Trulli and do well in the boring Toyota, and it's even more annoying when James Allen sucks up to him so much almost as bad as his Hamilton/Senna comparisons!

Oh well, least Hamilton is on pole. :)

ive gotta say i am impressed with toyota, and trulli, that combo is consistantly in the top 10, so i say well done, butthey should be there with all that money!

I hope they go backwards next year, I'd rather see a Honda do well than Toy-boring-ta anyday.

I'm hoping Trulli has one of his trademark "poor races" or gets punted off by drunk Kimi at the start.

That's the only "good" thing about a Toyota, having one of their engines in better and cooler cars, ie. Lotuses and of course the Williams cars. ;)

Something tells me that I won't be seeing Rubens on the podium this weekend, and not even in the points if it stays dry. I really do hope it rains, as that might help the BMW Sauber cars move up as well. It's a shame that Heidfeld messed up his Q2 lap, as I think he was on for getting through to Q3 before that happened. :/
