i just bought a MyChron 4 with the magnetic pickup, my club has magnetic strips but was curious as to whether Infra red is more accurate. I know you can get IR with AIM products i rekn you can with ALfano aswell

Cool Bud :)

I heard the Mychron 4 is pretty good, especially with the "E-Box" and then it really is a data logger!

yeah the E-Box is another expense though :banghead::hehe:

My dads got it. its really cool but he doesnt use it much, he doesnt look at his times to much but hes not fully into karting like me.
I have a only have a mychron 3 but its good.

You got it? if so, any good?

ahh i dont have the E-box i meant its another expense i can do without for the time being. my next gizmo will be the datakey where i can use the RS2 programme! which unfortunately is only a PC programme.
which is no good for me because my laptop is a mac so i can only analyse data at home and not there and then at the track! which sucks because you have to wait until the next time to test adjustments after analysis
I Emailed AIM and got an email back from a guy saying he was a Mac geek aswell and he basically said you have to install Windows on your mac like he did....

Um no i do not want to waste HD space with windows, you guys should create multi platform software

guess i could buy an old piece of poo PC laptop for a couple hundred just for karting

I don't think I'm going to be back out in the kart until the Scottish Championship Final Round and Scottish Open weekend.

I suppose it is good as it means I'm going into the race with the confidence that I won my last race, and I'll be hungry for the racing and competition.. and of course the winning. I did want to get back out on the track though, I might take a few sessions on the Friday morning to wipe all the cobwebs from my driving, but it should be good.

The two days will be completley different for me. Saturday is the Scottish Open, and I will be pushing as hard as I can to win it. Sunday is the final round of the Scottish Championship, so I will just be looking to get round in the first four. Yeah a win would be a great way to cap off a fantastic championship, but it's not essential.. I'd rather win the championship than the race :D

And for this round I am looking at purchasing a digital video camera, so I can upload it to Youtube and hopefully show all you guys a great days racing :)

It's an alcoholic beverage that is made by the fermentation of juice squeezed from grapes. ;):D

Yeah I'd get a digital camera so we can all revel in your glorious moments. :)

I haven't won it yet, just got to keep a clear head and make sure nothing can possibly go wrong with the kart. I'll be up late on Saturday night making sure every single nut and bolt are tight :P

Just got the Regs for the Scottish Open today, nothing too interesting. Good to see we won't be using control fuel at £4.40 a litre this time :D

I don't think I'll be able to get a new digi camera :( But we'll be taking up the old Camera so I'll have it on tape at least :) I'll be taking my other digital camera so I'll be sure to get some photos for you :P I think it might be able to take 30 second videos too so it's better than nothing :P

Just found out we've got 16 on the grid for the Scottish open on Saturday, and there will be 15 on the grid for the final of the Scottish Championships. :)

Really excited now, nerves have gone, I just want to get it over with.. I hope I can enjoy the racing all weekend though and win both races :D

I'll hopefully be able to give you some updates on Friday and Saturday night, and will explain all on Sunday night :P
