Racechick what would you do if true :banghead:

I would not mind it because he is a good driver, but I would still call him a w***er if he still acts the way he does now :hehe:

But I don't see it happening any time soon unless McLaren don't give him a title in the next 1 - 2 years.
Hammy is only loyal to himself, he wants Shuys records bad & will do anything.
He really thinks he is the greatest & want to prove it.

Lewis Hamilton in Ferrari link after 'secret' talks

Tongues were wagging at Hockenheim last night after Lewis Hamilton's father, Anthony, who is also his manager, was spotted having what they thought was a discreet conversation with the team principal of Ferrari.

Anthony Hamilton approached Stefano Domenicali as the Ferrari official was leaving a party hosted by Mercedes at the Hockenheim circuit, near Heidelberg, before this weekend's German Grand Prix. The pair left the party together before stopping some distance from the main throng for a brief chat, after which Anthony returned to the gathering.

The episode, which was photographed by The Times and published on the Times Formula One weblog, comes amid rumours, which have been strenuously denied by McLaren Mercedes, that Lewis and his father may not be entirely happy with some aspects of the team and the way they are managed. It will increase speculation that Hamilton may eventually move to Ferrari.

However, a move of that kind is unlikely in the immediate future, given that Hamilton is only halfway through the first year of a new five-year contract with McLaren that is earning him a total of £75million. The 23-year-old, who is joint leader of the World Championship going into Sunday's race, has also made it clear that he wants, if possible, to see out his career in Formula One with McLaren.

Nevertheless, there are few in Formula One who do not believe that Hamilton will be approached by Ferrari at some point, if it has not already happened, and that he will end up driving for the Maranello team.

Red Bull Racing confirmed yesterday that Sebastian Vettel, the 21-year-old German driver, is to partner Mark Webber next season, filling the seat that will be vacated by David Coulthard when the Scot retires at the end of this season.

The Hamiltons are only loyal to themselves. They showed this before when they spat on all that McLaren had done for them by talking with Williams a couple of years ago. If McLaren don't provide Hamilton with a title in the next couple of years, he will be off elsewhere. Have no doubts about it. If Lewis Hamilton is not happy at some things at McLaren at the moment, tough. What the f*** right has he and his dad to say anything about how a team like McLaren is run anyway? The Hamiltons are so fair up their own arses it is beyond belief. Besides, Lewis Hamilton has no chance of leaving McLaren, unless somebody is willing to pay almost £70 million for him. I know he's a young driver with a lot of potential and sponsors behind him, but no Formula One team will be willing to pay that, especially with some of the other young talent floating about.

Ferrari will not go after Hamilton like that, in public, in front of photographers. That is just tabloid garbage. Sure, Hamilton would....but then he is a self centered egotistical spoiled kid...but Ferrari is smarter than that. Even if they wanted him, and I very seriously doubt it....they wouldn't go about it that way.

I've heard in here a few times now "If Mclaren doesn't get Hamilton a championship in the next...blah blah...he will leave" Ok, well this is two years in a row now that McLaren HAVE handed him a championship. Last year he had nobody to blame but himself, and this year...crash in the PITS to lose one race that was nearly sewn up and take a penalty for that crash into the next race. Who is to blame there? Hammy is. McLaren have given him the title...he just keeps pissing it away.

Thats what I was just going to say. Its not McLaren's fault if he doesnt win the World Championship. He lost last year because of his own mistakes, and it looks to be the same this year. That would be a very selfish thing to do to McLaren because they spent time and money on him, and to just piss away a team that tought you everything you know is just plain greedy.

Ferrari have already got Massa to make their mistakes.
Why would they want Hamilton doing the same.

I have no doubt that Anthony will turn his back on Mclaren if it meant that Lewis could be at Ferrari who are a much more consistent team. That being said I think Lewis is perhaps a bit more loyal and will honor his contract at Mclaren as long as they are a competitive team.

True. My guess at what has happened is that Anthony Hamilton was using his renowned sleaze ball tactics to stoke up some interest in his son from Ferrari. In the meantime, behind the scenes, the pair of them will be venting their spleen at McLaren for the things they are so unhappy about and seeking concessions.

I think Anthony staged that little chat in order to put some pressure on McLaren management. I don't know why are they unhappy with McLaren at present, but even if that was denied, I'd say there is something in that pot and Anthony will play/is playing his moves to make his point and get whatever he's asking for (I'd really like to know what that is, though).

Basically it was just a stupid bluff from Anthony who seems to be believing he's the smartest manager in F1 (which would explain why Lewis thinks he's the best driver as well... like father, like son and all that); as others have already noticed, Lewis is major reason why Lewis is not champion already, or at least leading this season. Ferrari (as the things are now) would not provide him with better car, probably would not provide him with significantly more money (having Alonso ready and willing, and other young talented drivers going to bed with prayer to wake up with Ferrari contract under their pillows) and would for sure team him with more competitive team mate than Heikki is right now - be it Kimi, Alonso or even Massa.

And it's not like Hamiltons could do whatever they feel like in Ferrari either...

But if such situation would arise, I believe Anthony will switch in the blink of an eye. Lewis? I also tend to agree he would honour his obligations to McLaren more than his dad. Can't really put my finger on it, but I just see him like that.

However... it is kind of interesting that this chat is basically happening at the same time with Weber's opinion on Nico Rosberg switching to McLaren...

why would he be bluffing after Lewis just signed a multi million 5 year deal? it cant be for money. So what is Lewis or Anthony unhappy about with McLaren? Maybe McLaren has asked Anthony to make a lesser presence at GP weekends?

or is everyone making more out of this than meets the eye? remember when Schumacher was seen talking with Norbert Haug, all the sudden he was on his way to McLaren..

Hamilton is just plain greedy if he moves to Ferrari as they have been sponsoring his career and giving him help for so long but if Mclaren start to fall behind Ferrari then maybe he will to try and win the championship.

Exactly, calling for their "rightful Number one status" in the team.
The Hamilton's have as much loyalty as Christiano Ronaldo
