Kimi spun off on worn intermediates on a track that needed extemes youre right, but Lewis was racing on the same track with the same intermediates wasnt he? or was i watching a different race?

Not quite: KR's tires were intermediates like LH's alright. BUT they were more like slicks whereas LH had new intermediates on a track that required extreme wet tires.

Kimi spun off after his second pit stop when it was really coming down

That's right bud. But the damage was done when Kimi was on near slicks in torential rain. He spun trying his best to make up time because of the initial FU.
If he did change his tyres at first pitstop it would have been a completley differnt story.

Hammy would have been under pressure to the line.

guess we will never know about that iffy

Yeh of coarse its an iffy but an educated iffy from how the race was going up till the decisive point

In the end hammy won, Ferrari FU & McLaren are laughing.
That's all that really matters.
The hamaroide did well there is no refuting that.

But did it prove that he is the master  I don't think so.

No it WAS a great performance which I stated right after the race.
BUT NOT an unbelievable, stupendous, increadable, aweinspiring, masterful, legendary  and whatever other superlatives the lambs :vomit:

Remember this is the same bloke that rams people in the pits at 60 kmh :screwy: Oh that's right it was not his fault

tall poppy mike

Not at all bud. Just can't stand all the crap that goes on & I am not blindly devoted.

Kubica has just done as good a job if not better, in an inferior car.
So in your eyes The Hameroide is a tall poppy, but not mine mate.

Bud you're just saying Hamilton is better because he drives McLaren. Technique Freak you're just saying Raikkonen is better because he is a Ferrari driver. Ok I am a Ferrari tifosa and you know what, I think that you're Hamilton driver Bud is better in the wet than Raikkonen. But it makes no difference. Raikkonen has the better car and will win in the end. And at the end of the day I couldn't careless if Raikkonen isn't the "Rainmaster". All I care is that Ferrari, my team wins.

Two corrections:

1. I've always followed drivers not teams. The picture is of HRH Schumacher M, not intended to denote me as a tiffosi. Being a fan of F1 because it shows the best drivers, I've always followed the best driver. I followed Senna back in the day, whomever he drove for. I think Raikkonen is the best driver today, so I stick up for him.

2. Anyway, I don't say Raikkonen is the best in the rain. All I say it has not yet been established that Hamilton is better than him in the rain, because they have yet to have a proper head to head fight in the wet to enable us fans to judge. In each case there has been a factor explaining the result other than the driver's skill.

Cheers,

where did Kube come into this discussion? thought it was about Lewis in the wet and his performance in GB was good but just nothing special... :bs:

The tall poppy remember mate, you brought it up to try and give my opinion a tag.
He's no tall poppy to me & Kubica was an example of someone who I think has done a better job this year so why would Hammy be a tall poppy

yeh your right he was good but not extra special.

again i thought we were talking about the British GP not the season as a whole and more to the point Lewis' wet weather skills?

i dont care what excuses you anti hamilton camp can throw out there, any driver who can finish 68 seconds ahead of P2 is more than just an alright wet weather driver.

Tall poppy syndrome, being an Aussie you should know what it means, when someones up there on the top you gotta bring them down a few steps no matter what....
