If F1 ever got its act together with budget capping and stabillity in the sport, and once F2 is established. Wouldnt It be cool to have a kind of League system for constructors, whereby the team that finishes 12th (when there is 12 teams) will be dropped to F2 and the winner of F2 up to F1 (as long as they can afford the budget). It would insure a healthy industry and influx of private teams

I don't like the idea and there are some logistical problems with it. The most obvious one is that teams would have to design, test and develop two cars for the different formulae, which would surely cost a hell of a lot, as well be a waste of money, given that only a couple of teams would be promoted or relegated.

I know, its only for a fantasy world and I dont actually like it either come to think of it. It would take away what is F1 and make it like other sports. so I will say no too!

Don't like the idea, too Football-ish. If the English Football league is anything to go by with promotion and relegation imagine the outburst if Ferrari got "relegated".

Or any of the top team's for that matter . There would also be the whole rats nest of contract's, promotion's etc etc.

I like the idea but it wouldn't work with teams having to start the design of next years car so early...
