I'm now ready for the penultimate round of the Scottish Championships this weekend

I can actually clinch the Championship this weekend if I win and my rival fails to finish, but it looks like it is going down to the last race, which should make it very exciting!

I'm am definately getting nervous now, I've waited 5 years for this!

Just found out how much the British Championship will cost!

Entry Fees rack up to £1K (not including practice sessions - £45 per day x6)
Control Fuel £4.4 PER LITRE!
Control Tyres £111 or something which isn't really too bad.

Looks like it's gonna be NKF again for me next year

I wasn't sure if I would be racing this weekend, yesterday. I was very ill, and sick all day.

Seem to be a bit better now though, still don't feel 100% but I will be racing so it's all good

My weight has really dropped after yesterday, I lost half a stone after all my sickness haha, so I will need to carry extra weight on the kart this weekend.

Hopefully report back on Monday morning.... Hopefully reporting a win

Hey Guys, I'm up at the track. I'm using my dads new 3 Mobile Broadband at the track, it's fast :O

Today went pretty well, Top 3 all day in the wet. Last session I was on the wet tyre, when most of the other guys were on slicks and I was 2 seconds a lap faster so it was a great way to end the day

Early start tomorrow so I better be off to bed soon

What a crazy day..

Quali: Grabbed Pole by a tenth to my championship rival.

Heat 1: Lost lead into turn one and then the local guy came through too. Finished 3rd.

Heat 2: Started last, Made my way to fourth and was punted off by my championship rival.. right infront of the Clerk Of the Course, but nothing was done (because the Clerk is from the same club as my rival he seems to get off with murder) AND I got a warning for a small tap in heat 1!

Pre-Final: Started 3rd, got into 2nd but gave position back as it would mean I would start on the inside for the final.

Final: Started 3rd, front 2 did what I thought they would, and made contact. They squeezed right to the inside but I held my line and took the corner, ending lap 1 in the lead. I was under pressure for the whole race, being tapped from behind every lap but I managed to pull a gap of 2 tenths and keep it there and I managed to pull off the win. With the championship Rival only finishing 3rd it now means I am 4 points clear going to the final round. This means if he wins, all I have to do is finish fourth!

When I was on the in-lap I was overjoyed! Pumping the fists the whole way round, and I was cheering right infront of the Clerk of the Course

Best Win of my career so far, definatley the most important.

Awesome simply awesome and now all you need not to do is pull a Hammy like he did last year, trying to win the race and not focusing on the championship, keep your head focused and your driving clean. It seem's you have had only one or maybe two real contender's this year so dont get caught up in their personal battle for the lead if you do not take pole. If you do take pole and they are bumping you and driving dirty just let them pass as it sound's like you and the other top two driver's will easily be able to pullout a comfortable lead over the 4th and 5th place driver's.

Learn how to win championship's without having to win every race is the most important, imho, aspect of being successful.

Well done mate, sounded like an exciting race to watch too. Some very tactical driving you did there too, giving up 2nd so you could start the next race on the inside and waiting for your rivals to mess each other's race up and then capitalise on it.

When you win the Championship, I'll raise a drink for you.

Yeah, was a great race bumper-to-bumper all the way.

I will be driving tactically again in the final, I plan just to try and win it, but if someone comes alongside me I'll just move aside and let them go.. I have a championship to win

I'm pulling out of the NKF Championship, I'm going to miss a round due to a clash with the Scottish anyways. This means I won't be attending Wigan in 2 weeks, although I'm quite happy as my next outing is the Scottish Championships final round. I'll be hungry for racing by this time, and I'll be taking no prisoners

It is going to be tactical, I just need to make sure I don't get taken out
