KyrosV, how are Renault finding McLaren's information this season, for instance, the J-Damper?

as quoted before "what J-damper, Ive never heard of one of them"

:hehe:

You are a hypocritical b astard. You come on here posting your holier-than-thou anti-McLaren sentiments, and claiming that McLaren got off lightly, but snigger at how your own team, despite being ten-times more in the wrong than McLaren were, got let off. You make me sick, but I shall not worry too much about it. Whilst your beloved Renault are being taken for a ride by Alonso - but still begging for him to stay - and competing in the middle of the grid, McLaren will be winning races and championships.

would make sence to. as they could of turned up at the second race with a completly different car. I know they do scrutineering but thats only for general abnormalities. What they should of done is tell mclaren to freeze there car development for 2008 cos they were lucky to be in it all. But I guess in the softness of the FIA and in pleasing the general puplic they couldnt do this. Im glad its all over now. but im sure in few years time it will pop back up again and the truth revealed.

$100 million is not soft. And yes it pleases the general public, because its something the FIA should not have done or requested McLaren to do in the first place after the fine. If McLaren were not competative this year (although I am a BMW fan) I would have focused more on the IRL/Indy car series in the states... and NASCAR for that matter. I cannot condone what McLaren did, but the punishment seemed harsh for something which seems to take place when engineers bounce around from team to team.

i hate hearing these armchair experts proclaim McLaren were lucky to be in it at all...:banghead:

and bud, dont give me that bull.

Mclaren cheated and its always the Mclaren sheep that spring to laugh of any critisism of there team when its clear to see that they cheated and got caught. and that its there team that has had a shattering effect on F1 and a damaging effect turning off alot of fans and Comercial influence in the sport. No wonder santander and mercedes are having second thoughts with being related to mclaren.

so yeah, I would say they are lucky.

and I look forward to your next cocky response...

Are you still posting more bollocks on here? Santander went into a deal with McLaren because of Alonso coming to the team. A quality Spanish driver would be great publicity back in Spain for a Spanish bank. Where is the evidence that Mercedes want to cut and run from McLaren? They've actually increased their shareholding in the team. McLaren are designing the F2, that's the only reason why Mercedes are getting AMG to do their next sports car. Well, it's actually the one after that, for Mercedes and McLaren are teaming up once again to design an improved SLR.

Anyway, toad, you still have not said anything about your own team's involvement in spying. All you can do is try and make McLaren the big bad wolf and make completely ridiculous remarks to take the attention of your own team's wicked deeds.

Now run along, loser.

And your responce is to twist it on to other teams cos Mclaren do no wrong. nice....

And the renault cheating was not as bad as mclaren and actually didnt even turn out to be anything.

and the last I heard was the new SLR has been shelved.

obviously you cant take a light argument without getting aggressive so im gonna say sorry, cos its only a discussion forum...

Mercedes is McLaren they are the largest share holder :banghead:

and its funny you anti McLaren wanks are quick to lay the blame on them when its the FIA who handled this case like a bunch of corrupt greedy hands and brought shame onto the sport. other cases in the past were not dealt with this way yet what was different? nothing infact Ferrari didnt even go running to the FIA when Toyota copied their car

and lets not forget Renault
these are only the cases that have been made public, only a fool would suggest in the world of F1 design that espionage has not occured until now...
who wants to be a fool?? you Kyro?

and the correct word is THEIR not THERE :rolleyes:

cocky enough for ya sweet heart? :cloud9:

I'm afraid that's not true. You suggested McLaren got off lightly and sniggered at your own team not being punished for similar offences. Rightly, you've been branded a hypocrite and cut right down.

And the renault cheating was not as bad as mclaren and actually didnt even turn out to be anything.

No, I think you'll find Renault's cheating was far more serious than McLaren's. But you keep deluding yourself if it makes you feel comfortable.

and the last I heard was the new SLR has been shelved.

You've clearly heard wrong, for the new Speedster will be being unveiled on the 30th of this month.

obviously you cant take a light argument without getting aggressive so im gonna say sorry, cos its only a discussion forum...

No, because you can't come on here and completely slander McLaren and try to make Renault squeak clean and claim it's only a joke, for it's not.

yer that was sweet, thank you.

- FIA? greedy? what did they take for them selves? its all been recycled back into F1 (even though prices have gone up for licences, that bugs me) and Ferrari even gave there money they got from mclaren to charity which is pretty cool of them.

- whats next? ah yes the pop at renault. I have a go at your team, you have a go at mine. like a circle... but your not gonna turn up at court for murder and say "yer well those guys murder people too" are you? and like I said the renault case didnt even turn out to be anything. just topics for mclaren fans to scapegoat on.

- and my name is Kyros not kyro so I guess we are both bad spellers

anyway ive already said sorry, so im not arguing on this matter any more  *man hugs Bud* *man hugs Mclaren fan*

Don't bother KyrosV, they just don't get it.

If they can't blame the way the FIA handled the case they'll point the finger at other teams and then they'll say it was really Ferrari's fault in the first place...

Even after their team boss came out and apologised they would suggest you should "read between the lines" because that's not what was really going on...

Save your energy mate, this attitude flows down from Ron Dennis' 'holier than thou' attitude, all the lambs follow suit...

That is correct. And when eventually Mercedes owns all of McLaren, what will happen next? Mercedes like Toyota, Honda, BMW (Its German rival), Renault and Ferrari are want to going to race as themselves. Ie MERCEDES, not McLAREN-MERCEDES. Also when they win races, for the constructors point of you, Mercedes are going to want to her the "Lied von Deutschland" not "God Save the Queen". This is a fact. Germans want German domination. The only way to achieve this is to when Mercedes fully aquires McLaren, to rename the team to Mercedes and then get a German racing licence instead of a British one. The team would likely still remaing Woking based however. This is what happened to Benetton when it ws aquired by Renault. Team is renamed to Renault, a French licence replaces the Italian one from old team Benetton, but team remains British based. Same is the case with BMW. Sauber is Swiss and team still based in Switzerland, but team nationality (BMW) is German as they have a German racing licenece. The same example can also be given with Honda based also in Britain and Toyota which is based in Germany. Both team nationalities are Japanese.

I never realised that predicting the future was one of your many talents, AKR.

nor the fact she wants a 40 odd year old marquee that exists purely for racing to disappear to the road car manufacturer epidemic that is wiping out great F1 names for the sake of car sales.

McLarens war cry "we exist to race, we exist to win" :wavey-finger:

I am very happy to see the two team's come to term's and put the riff behind them because let's face it the whole deal has been very detrimental to both teams in one way or another. I salute both team's :) .
