From F1 Live:

Sato reveals talks with F1 teams

Takuma Sato says he has turned down offers from outside of Formula One following the collapse in May of the Super Aguri team.

As well as his former team-mate at the defunct Japanese team, Anthony Davidson, 31-year-old Sato was a notable presence in the Silverstone paddock last weekend.

The UK-resident, who contested approaching 100 Grand Prix with Jordan, BAR and Leafield-based Super Aguri, said he is trying to resurrect his F1 career.

"There is nothing concrete yet," Sato - who last weekend raced supporters and media at a go-kart event - said, according to Switzerland's Motorsport Aktuell.

"I am speaking with some teams," he added. "I turned down some offers for Le Mans and from the USA, because I see my future in the sport at the Grand Prix."

Cant see where either, Toyota or Williams - (Toyots connection) but that does not seem likely to me. T.S.does not really have a good record does he?

Unless his ties with Honda were severed when Nick Fry killed off Super Aguri, I don't think he'd be stepping into a Toyota or a Williams. I imagine he'll be counting on either a Toro Rosso seat, Fisichella retiring or that 2 more teams appear on the grid next year.

And it's doubtful Fisichella is retiring yet, and Berger is hoping to give Senna Vettel's Toro Rosso seat if he does indeed move to Red Bull.

Yes, I agree that any Honda connection is probably gone now, maybe a new team though.

There was talk of Force India switching from Ferrari to Honda engines, and if they do, it's rumoured that Honda will be asking them to take Sato on as a driver...

Sato is a poor driver. I would pay the extra cash if I had it. The team will score a few points with a better and Mallya will get his money back in the longer run.

From autosport.com:

Q. Your former teammate Anthony Davidson had a run with Honda Racing recently. Has there been any talk of you doing that?

TS: "That wasn't really a surprise. Alex Wurz went to Le Mans and Anthony had been test driver there for five years, and was just able to hop into the car quite easily, so I am not surprised about that one. Also, I heard it was just a one-off test and if it is just a couple of tests for other people I don't mind, as my main focus is to come back as a race driver.

"If there is an opportunity for testing that is race-driver related then we will do it, but at the moment we are just talking about a few other options. That is why I am not rushing to jump into a car immediately."

It sounds like Sato is a little tetchy at seeing other Honda people get drives ahead of him. :hehe:
