I was surprised that Ferrari werent dominant at all, especially with Massa way back in 9th.

Ferrari had the car for a one-two. If Schumi had still been driving, he would have led from lights to flag.

Schumi this, Schumi that. Typical Ferrari lamb  If Ferrari had the car for a 1-2 then how come they were so puzzled by their lack of pace during friday practice?

Wow what a race!! The race is on the last 4 laps because its tape delayed over here. But man what a shame for Heikki and Mark, I was really hopeful for Mark and he drove really well after that spin but we never heard from him after the 2nd half of the race. Nick Heidfeld drove outstanding with 2 double passes and hopefully this shuts his critics up for awhile, his time will come soon and he will get his first win.

Barrichello!!!! Man that was awesome!! A little dissapointed because he could've had a 2nd place finish, but hey, Honda made the podium considering they have such a horrible car. That decision to go to extreme wets was the winning choice as he was lapping almost 7 seconds faster than everyone else. I'm pretty sure Ross Brawn had something to do with that decision, and this is a huge step forward for Honda.

Lack of Schumi. Read reports of Schumi's first ever test for Jordan, where without previous F1 experience he quickly worked out what was wrong with the car and how to manage its defects.

I know how good Schumi is. I dont deny that the guy has unbelievable talent and is a car developing god, but to say that if Schumi was still driving he would've led from lights to flag is absolutely ridicilous, and as well as saying Ferrari could've had a 1-2. Could've, shoud've, would've, we all heard that before

Clearly I cannot prove what would or would not have happened. But I believe that Kimi's pace before the first pitstop showed that the car was there for the win. And Schumi has frequently shown that he can win with less than that. Perhaps lights to flag was a bit of hyperbole, but I believe it possible.

Yes, I was just pointing out that your post about Schumi was rather stupid. I agree that Kimi for sure had the pace to win because he was closing in on Hamilton, but Ferrari made the dumb decision to not change tires for the 2nd stint which ultimately cost them the race. On top of the that Massa drove horrible, and Kimi had few spins too, but hey, atleast he got 4th.

I think if I'd claimed that if they painted the Ferraris mauve they would have won, that would be stupid. But given Schumi's history and clear abilities, and the respect the team had for him, I think it's more than just plausible that he would have won. And part of that would be better setup, some more spins during practice while testing boundaries, and a request for fresh tyres when pitting.

The biggest loser is Webber, both on and off the track. He bet Heikki will win 23-1, he lost that bet and spun on the first lap. Great drive by Nick, he actually did better then Robert considering Robert was on a wet setup, almost had a BMW 2-3.

And yet, once again, it was one of his sneaky showings. It took me a while to realise he'd gotten as far up as he was. Then again, I was probably too shocked by Barrichello being on-target for a podium! :P

He did 2 excellent passes, and no one seemed to have noticed.

I saw those. Two cars at a time. Kind of felt sorry for Heikki when Nick took him and Kimi in one go, but man, he was really on a charge today! I think two BMW Sauber drivers on the podium would have been ace, but Barrichello really, really deserved what he got today. :)
