The risk of injury is actually quite high in a 'tri'.

i knew you Lewis bashers would start with this s*** :banghead: grow some brains, as if you cant see that there is a risk of injury in doing a triathlon during a F1 championship. and the only proof of fitness an F1 driver needs to do is in the seat of an F1 car.

Kyros side note what is with your sig? you like Renault but dislike Nissan?? :irked:

actually only unfit people get injured (thats a fact btw)

Senna would be well up for it. he was like the first driver to regulary keep up his fitness pushing to be the greatest! If button was in a mclaren?...

Exactly! What sort of injury could Lewis get from a photo or advert shoot?

Well Mark Webber has enough common sense to have his 'Pure Tasmania' challenge in the off season leaving him to focus on the GP season at hand.

If that happened it would most likely be just a change of name's but the team would remain the same I would think? Anyway that's off topic so!

how is it that the pro triathletes get injured then? you saying they aint fit?

yeah its something to do with lactic acid or something making you more injury prone...

if he doesnt want to compete its fine.

Yes I agree there is just to much at stake and Lewis need's to focus on racing. JB has nothing to loose it's sad to say.

Lewis is already not focusing on racing and making plenty of costly errors, a friendly charity event is hardly going to lose him a championship.

Hahaha

As for getting injured, it's just as likely he could get injured during normal training (or even in a lift... :|:D ). Lame.

His dad singled him out by rescuing him from an agonising loss in the Man Challenge.

Lewis may be a lot of things, but he is by no means as fit as Jenson or Mark Webber. He's not unfit by any stretch of the imagination, but JB and MW are by far the fittest drivers.

Anyway, Anthony has cancelled whole happening with following statement:

"Unfortunately for Lewis, we are withdrawing him from this," Hamilton Snr said. "We are in the middle of a championship and that is the focus of our attention."

:thumbdown::thumbdown::thumbdown:

Fail.

Incidentally, what makes Hamilton Sr. think he knows what's best for Jr.'s championship chances? Further, how is a charity atheltic event going to impact his racing?

Gain, fail.

risk of injury! its a logical choice, post season would be the better time to do it!

Yeah, well... MS was playing soccer for charity, and it's not like you can't hurt yourself playing soccer. I think Lewis should have done it, if nothing else, then for positive publicity. He doesn't really need to kill himself while competing, just take part, worst possible scenario would be loosing to Button and giving 10000 bucks for charity.

Well, that is making money, while triathlon-ing for charity is not.

OK, so I'm a bit sarcastic.

Or am I...
