From F1 Live:

An 'appropriate solution' in the current environment

The arrangement whereby Hockenheim and Nurburgring annually alternate as host of the German Grand Prix looks set to continue.

"We are not dissatisfied with the current solution for alternating. In the current environment, it is the appropriate solution," Jorn Teske, marketing chief of the Hockenheim circuit, said according to RTL.

Hockenheim is set to host the German Grand Prix next month.

Last year, the Nurburgring was the only German venue on the 2007 calendar, as the two venues agreed to alternate in a climate of higher competition for races from new international hosts.

In my view, Hockenheim is now a boring circuit and has completely lost its class, feeling very artificial since it has been butchered. I would rather see the Nurburgring become the permanent home of the German Grand Prix.

the same thing was said about the nurburgring when F1 went to the new track in the eighties. Although i agree that hockienhiem has lost all its charm, the sight of F1 cars blasting through a forest was a great sight that you couldnt get anywhere else
