Well went to my home Track (Crail) For the fourth round of the ASKC Scottish championships.

We couldn't afford to buy new tyres, so we used a race old set (30 laps, so about .5 of a second a lap slower than the new sets)

Went very well in testing, top two.

Got pole by 3 tenths

Took lights to flag in heat 1

Heat 2 was great, started last and was into 3rd by lap 2. Made my way into 1st on the 4th lap and led to the finish.

Took another lights to flag finish in the Pre-final, which put me on pole for the final.

I won the final, not by a huge margin but enough (about 2.5 I think) so I was quite pleased, especially on the older tyres. Although the best thing was that my championship rival and leader could only manage third place. This means I lead the championship by a point, with 2 rounds left

Next Race, Banff: ASKC Scottish Chmapionships Round 5.

Good stuff Sam congrat's. I personaly feel like crap that you had to run on used up tires as I want to be able to helpout with atleast those. I can promise you though that once I start my new and much better paying job with the sheriffs dept I will make as many contributions as possible.

I have a few idea's in mind how I/we can offer more assistance so bear with we but dont give up on us ok?

Well, I'm a bit disappionted with my season results, but think I have improved so much as a driver this year.

I should have had this Scottish Championship sealed by now. I gave away 5 points in the Championship with a DNF, so I could be 6 points clear just now.

Worst thing is I have to choose if I go to the NKF with better grids (but less Likely to win). OR go to the Scottish Championships final round with less better grids (but potentially I could become Scottish Champ).

I think I will be at the Scottish Championship round as the Scottish Open event is also on at that meeting too.

Yah go for the Scottish championship Sam it will look much better to potential sponsors .

Well yeah, that is our aim.

We aren't sending out any "Potential Sponsor" letters until the end of the Scottish Championships, and hopefully I can add Scottish Champion and Scottish Open Champion to my Racing CV.

Although if you want to know what I'm going to compete with later on...

You know the old saying though 'It does not hurt to ask'!

If your to afraid to ask for help, 99.99% of the time you will not get it.

Indeed, it's not like you'll get something thrown at you for asking - maybe only if it was Mad Max you were asking .

I'd chose competing in the Scottish final, once you have your title sewn up you'll have plenty of time to try out the National class at some point.

Just had a small discussion/arguement with my Grandad and we might be doing the A.B.K.C Super One Championship next season . This is the elite of British karting.. it is the British Championships at the Highest level..

I need to win the Scottish first though... Pressure's on

When you win the Scottish Championship you will be ready mate, do not start doubting yourself now or your talent concerning a move to a more competative class/series. It does not take consistant title's to move through the rank's only consistency and motivation.

Your the man just keep that thought in your head .
