I like what Nico said about his penalty "I wrecked into someone else's crash I did not cause it" or something like that.

Kovalainen just got a five places penalty for blocking Webber in quali (linky). McLaren guys are looking to have a terrible weekend. I wonder if that will change their strategy for Lewis somehow.

[Edit:]
Here's the current grid, but it also shows Rosberg with 10-place penalty  .

Lewis will be looking to make up as many places as he can off the grid. Not sure its an advantage having another McLaren 3 places ahead, similar speed, could get in the way, anoher thing for Lwis to have to watch out for. Kovi'd be much more use up the sharp end

I said he MAY do one of his magic drives, he MAY stuff up trying. why do you only comment on part of that statement? But one things for certain, he won't give up. And he may be no lighter than the Ferrari's.

If I had commented on him stuffing up... I would have sounded like a Luis hater :nono::tongue:
I doubt he's as heavy as the Ferraris. But c'mon this is not an attack... i think its only the Mclaren not being as good on this track.

So again, like I mentioned before... today i'm offering a healing hand :fallenangel:

i think its blatently obvious that its a ferrari 1,2 barring any accidents, even without the penaltues for the silver cars, i still would have said ferrari will breeze it

the excitement will be on who gets the final podium, for me, could be trulli, kubica, webber or hopefully fernando, cant see it being heikki, i think hamilton would be more likely than heikki now

Ferrari 1,2 with Alonso taking his first podium of the year is my prediction. Hopefully a good drive from kovi as well to get all those people off his back

Hmm should I bother watching the qualifying after a long day at work and after finding out the results...... :irked:

Heikki's season goes from bad to worse, and with it, dare I say, Mclaren's constructor ambitions?

Looks decidedly possible unless he has an amazing turnaround mid season

You're talking about a seasoned, two-time world champion and a rookie. Not everyone can do what Lewis did last year, you know? Alonso has been punching above his weight in the Renault.

Sorry, but a line has to be drawn somewhere. I never suggested that Piquet should be doing what Hamilton did last season to Alonso, but his performances have been nothing short of diabolical. You could put Piquet being behind Alonso by, say, a few places on the grid or at the end of the race, but to be routinely half a dozen places or more behind Alonso on the grid and to have had such poor performances in the races is simply not good enough. Piquet still has time to get his act together, but with so little signs of improvement being shown, there can't be too much sand left to run in the hour glass.

An absolutely scandalous decision. Kovalainen tried his best to move out of the way of Webber. Without driving off the track, there was nothing he could've done. FIA: :banghead:

McLaren's constructors' title ambitions have been slipping away gradually before now anyway. Hamilton has made some stupid mistakes and a mixture of bad luck and the odd poor performance from Kovalainen has seen to that.

Did Nakajima get punished? Wasn't he more to blame getting along side?
