A sad development. If Melbourne doesn't want the Grand Prix, then maybe another city, such as Sydney or Adelaide (the latter being pretty unlikely) do.

Adelaide would be nice. I know I like teasing Bud but is all just for fun and games. I don't care which city it is in, however I really liked the track that was used for the Adelaide GP. I miss it in many ways.

yesterday i walked the racecourse section of the adelaide circuit, just daydreaming, its basically just a road all pit walls and buildings are temporary and non existant in non race spec.

i can say its a very emotional feeling when walking there knowing this is where our heroes played. the drama of the rainsoaked race, the last chequered flag ayrton senna would take in 1993, the last chequered flag nigel mansell would take in 1994

senna walked this surface mansell walked this surface, need i say more?

other ppl just walked past it like it was just a park looking at my enthusiasm with a weird expression as i ran my hands along the rumble strips and kicking my feet along the concrete slabs that make the foundations of the pit garages

well i guess the same kinda people in Melbourne anyway, but these people "the local council" are against a permanent pit facility and grandstands being constructed which could have been a draw card to bring back the F1 GP to Adelaide. Its funny how a council has more power than the state government in a situation like this. Instead they are builiding a world class temporary structure with the first construction taking 9 months to construct :hehe: the state gov has said this is because the workers will have a learning curve for the first time but it should take 3 months to construct there after. i think the Gov has deliberately made it take that long to piss off the cat local council :yuck:

forti i get the same feeling when ever i drive down brabham straight or the stag corner, so youre not gonna take your car out on the permanent hairpin pit straight part of the track?? ill hold the gate open while you drive in ok

You guys are so lucky to have the chance to actually drive on sacred ground I'm jealous. Pics are needed asap :) .

saturday night at around 2:30am i actually drove over the gutter and past the gate and took a quick spin in the prelude.

apart from constant paranoia of insomniac park goers and rent a cops i enjoyed myself for around 20mins and got up to around 140kph on the straight and went for another run the 4 wheel steering is very good on that sharp bend but it did understeer as expected for a FWD car.

but there are burnouts from previous cars, so i guess im not the only one
