My girlfriend and I were in New York City yesterday and at the last minute we decided to go to Madame Tussaud wax museum.
To my surprise they had a wax statue of Ayrton Senna. Unfortunately, we didn't have our camera on but I snapped a picture with my cell phone. It was a great experience.

Yeah, Americans aren't keen on Formula One, but Ayrton Senna was a superstar. Even people who weren't necessarily Formula One fans knew who he was.

I have a picture with my sister and Senna's wax statue from around 1994... but i dont remember if it was taken in Europe or in NY. Gonna look at the picture to see if I get some kind of flashback :scratchchin:

I know a lot of people who have no idea who is currently racing in F1 but they know three names. Senna, Schumacher and Ferrari. And a 4th name Hamilton is starting to become fairly big here.

When Senna died it was all over American news. They showed Dale Ernhardt (sp?) and Mario Andretti saying he was the greatest driver of his generation.
