Isn't that amazing? Nobody drives with a 13? Which is 'unfair' to Japanese drivers because their equivalent to our 13 is 4. If it ever happens, Sato driving with a 4 or Honda or Toyota having the numbers 3 and 4 - ouch!

Sato? Well, he actually drove with the number 4 in 2005 and we all know how that season turned out for him...
Wasn't one of the times DH after NM retired and then also after AP took the 1 with him when retiring?
Jody Scheckter drove 2 races in 1973 with a 0 on his McLaren - dunno why though.

We had Hill with the number 0 because Nige went to champ car in 93 and took the No.1 with him, then Prost retired in 93 taking the No.1 with him again.
so you had the 0 - 2 numbering instead of the 1-2 as there was no Champion from the previous year to wear 1

and yes Friday the 13th bla bla bla all silly stupidstitions, quite intersting how it all started though.
