People are annoyed with his attitude.

pretty petty was her name
she was loved and we all will miss her

Well, if you are fine with a driver - the employee - running, attempting to sleight and blame McLaren - the employer - then that's your prerogative.

It was a mistake - a bad one, and he should be penalised, but why did no-one get excited about Alonso's bad mistake at Mote Carlo when he took out Rosberg - no penalty - nothing, but it was a mistake equal to Hamiltons, maybe worse, because Hamilton clearly did not see and take account of the red light, whereas F.A. was just amaturishly impatient and tried a stupid overtakeing manouver where it clearly was not going to work. Why do so many of you get so excited about L.H.? All F1 drivers have a list of stupid errors (M.S. especially), why is LH in the love /hate situation?

Good question my friend, good question!!

if that were true then you would see alot of people on Alonso's case wouldnt you? he has bagged and blamed Renault this year and lets not even go to his comments in regard to Renault in 06 and McLaren in 07.
See theres more to just his attitude that people hate on Hamilton so much. he aint that much different to any other young driver in the field now, they all deep down think they are the best or else they wouldnt be in the sport.
No theres something more than that........its what you would call the tall poppy syndrome common term in Australia for when people feel the need to bring those at the top down to their level, for what ever reasons only they deep down know

Alonso's a snake, too. I abhor what he did to McLaren last season and think that expressing his discontent at Renault publicly is also wrong. Alonso, however, is now driving for middling team, so is now out of the limelight, and is up front about his views and personality. Hamilton, however, pretends to be all sweetness and light, have an undying love for McLaren, and that he is a team player, but, on all counts, he is really out for himself. On top of all that, the media continue to feed Hamilton's ego, sweep his flaws under the carpet. And, as if all that's not enough, you have the typical British sports fan who is completely blinkered to his negatives as well. I am sick, sore and tired of listening to Hamilton's blind barmy army, and am absolutely furious at Hamilton's arrogance, lies, false modesty and conduct towards McLaren.

i dunno i think youre being overly critical of some aspects and like i said he is acting no different than any other driver. As for lying and blaming the team would you give some examples? I know you think he blamed the team for Canada but anything else?

Wow! You're an angry man! I'd hate to do something really bad to you. I think Bud is right, there's more to this hatred than meets the eye. Theres plenty done worse than Hamilton.

PS. I think you meant completely blinkered by the way not "incompletely blinkered":wink:

I don't hate Hamilton. I'm just disappointed and angry at his behaviour at times. The reasons are just as I've said either on this thread or others over the last lot of weeks.

Does he have to know the rules - or is it ok for him to drive in to the back of others... Awaiting to hear what happened.

It does look like he turns in to Raikkonen.

No he didn't. And after watching the videos and thinking more about Hamilton's mistake, I've fallen more in love with his skills. If he kept going straight he would have hit Kubica, so he was trying to veer left too avoid hitting either one of the drivers but couldn't do it in time. Theoretically then, if Hamilton didn't react in time, then him and Kubica would be out of the race. Where is the fun in that?

He did not mean to turn into Raikkonen, he was trying to dodge him. I'm amazed at Hamilton's reaction to be honest. He saw the incident and almost avoidedn either of them. But if he had to hit one of them, I'm sure he would have picked Raikonnen.

I saw that Hamilton won "Breakthrough of the Year." He was quite humble, and even praised his team. Lewis Hamilton is no monster.

Nope, distracted by a tight bum in one and a Schumacheresque determination in the other.
