I think light too. i think he'll go very light for quali, get pole and be light to cut through the midfield (try to do a GP2 Turkey ). If he does get stuck behind anything he'll be on such a short stint they can afford to bring him in, change the strategy and put him out on a clear track. But if he doesnt get stuck, if he gets past....................

I think he very well may get stuck behind some cars. If Barrichello keeps up his recent form, then he'll be hovering around the edges of the top ten. We've seen him keep a fair few faster cars behind him this season on a heavy fuel load (being passed eventually, as is inevitable). Equally, if he gets caught behind experienced drivers in lighter cars (Webber, Trulli, Alonso etc.) then they could make things difficult for him. I still think that, if he can, he should aim to pull out a good lap with a decent amount of fuel on board and just try to keep on the gearbox of the guy in front. If he can stay out long enough, he should be able to jump the slower cars like the Hondas and possibly the Renaults (particularly Piquet, if he manages to qualify high enough).

But I guess we'll have to wait and see. My only real fear is a repeat of Bahrain.

I'd offer to buy you one, but Wiltshire isn't exactly close to here.

And I think that McLaren would be wise to reconsider a light first stint. I really think that a one-stop strategy might be their best bet in Magny Cours, to be honest. And who knows? Rain may play a part in the race. But I would like Hamilton only to get a low points finish (I do need him to get points, though) because if the McLarens are good that means Heikki will have a nice shot at taking a victory there. If the McLaren is on the pace.

Also, has anyone looked on ITV's Talkback page about the penalty? I think it's the first time I've seen so many comments on there that aren't defending Lewis. I don't agree with the people saying he deserves a one-race ban, but the ones who agree that it isn't harsh have it right. Had he gone through the red lights instead, he'd have been disqualified, so it seems that people are being realistic about this one.

Edit: I agree on the fuel pricing, EwmanM. My bus route takes me past one station every day and the prices are 115.9 and 129.9 respectively for petrol and diesel...and that's said to be cheap!

Well.. a few pheasants I usually creep by the sheep. There are main roads, of course sheep free, but when you go well up into the glens you are surrounded up them and they get curious... Scary at 11pm

But yeah how is Sheep Hamilton related? I'll get back to you on that...

Meanwhile Rosberg has fully accepted his penalty and concedes his chances for points at the French GP are practically none. Rosberg is pretty down to earth like Kubica is.

Nico Rosberg has acknowledged that his penalty for crashing in the pitlane during Sunday's Canadian Grand Prix was deserved.

The German, who drives for Williams, ran into Lewis Hamilton at Montreal after the McLaren driver failed to spot the red pitlane traffic light and careened into the duly stationary Ferrari of Kimi Raikkonen.

Both Rosberg and Briton Hamilton will be punished with a ten-position demotion on the Magny-Cours grid, and Hamilton on Tuesday is quoted as deriding his penalty as "harsh" and the closure of the pitlane "silly."

According to the French language La Presse newspaper, Rosberg said: "I think I deserve the penalty, the same as Hamilton. He didn't stop, and neither did I, so we deserve the same fate."

"I saw the red lights too late, so it is natural that there is a penalty. I made a mistake," Rosberg added.

It is true, however, that while Hamilton failed to see both the red light and the stationary cars of Raikkonen and Robert Kubica, Rosberg's mistake was slightly different.

Rosberg agrees: "Of course, if Hamilton had slowed, I would have been able to better understand what was going on. But he kept going, and then suddenly... (hit Raikkonen's Ferrari).

To another publication, Rosberg insists that stationary cars at the end of a pitlane is not a normal phenomenon.

"In my whole career I have never watched the lights at the pit exit," he is quoted as admitting to motorline.cc.

Rosberg also said the penalty effectively destroys his chances for the French Grand Prix.

"I can almost forget about Magny-Cours," he insisted, "because I will be starting probably in 18th or 19th place."

During the post-race press conference on Sunday, Canadian GP winner Robert Kubica was thanking his lucky stars.

"I stopped side by side with Kimi and after a few seconds Lewis came flat out and crashed into him," he reported.

"I have to thank him that he chose Kimi and not me," he added with a smile.

Good on Nico. Hopefully he'll have good luck for the rest of the season, because we all know that if the Williams is working well, then Nico (and Kazuki, I must add) can put it into a decent, points-scoring position. And it would be nice to see Williams take fourth place behind BMW Sauber, Ferrari and McLaren.
