I am in heaven!! Not just a BMW win but a 1-2 was more then what BMW asked for. As for people bashing on Heidfeld, BMW just made their historic win in Motorsports and people too busy on bashing on Heidfeld and not taking in the joy of a historic moment in F1. Heidfeld is the first to criticized himself saying that if he was "rookie he would has lost his seat because of his poor showing this year". The guy looked pretty happy getting out of the car and hugging his teammate, of course no one in F1 wants to be 2nd, if you are happy in 2nd then you are a happy loser. As for Hamilton, it looks like that when he makes a mistake (and he has made a few), its costly for him or anyone around him, great driver but he needs to take responsibility for his action instead of brushing it off. Without the "pit lane" incident, it would have been a tough fight for LH to the finish line. LH was very light on fuel, he was the first one into the pit but the last one out, both Kimi and Robert had stopped for a few seconds at the pit lane exit before LH even approached them, so without the red light I think the Ferrari and BMW would have been gone. Its an exciting season so far and both Ferrari and McLaren can not make any micro error because BMW will take advantage of them. Congrats to BMW, Sauber, Germany, Poland, and all the people at the Factory, now take the day off work and get drunk, I know I will and I just went outside and kissed my M3.

Ya Know Nick hasn't had a bad year. 2 second place finishes and and points in 5 out of the 7 races.. He may be on the upswing, like Massa when everyone counted him out early. We all know he is struggling with the F1.08 but once he gets it in his mind to hang it all out, we could see a break through. If I were him, I would not make the statements that if he was new his job would be in jeopardy. He needs to put his head down, let go and use the force....

I don't think it was a case of not knowing to look for it, just a case of him being too busy trying to get out as close as possible to Kimi and Robert. He just got a little too close. It has already been proven time and again that not concentrating can easily put you out of the race or at the very least ruin your chances of scoring any points.

Hamilton wanted to emulate his dad you see, by wrecking his expensive car at 30mph!

God that was one helluv a race!!!!!!! Man we saw a Honda lead too!! Oh man I am soooo happy right now, and it was great to see Coulthard on the podium as well. I guess I have to change my signature now since BMW-Sauber won. I knew Heidfeld would make the podium, but I'm kinda sad McLaren didnt do too well.

I was pissed tho because F1 was on Fox instead of SPEED, and they didnt show the pr-race show, and they didnt show the interview with Heidfeld and Coulthard.

Yeah, Fox sucks big time, but it's just a one off.

No they will be airing the French GP, and the German GP. That pisses me off, I want SPEED back!!

Bummer - yeah, they've been doing this for a while now, every year they give several races away to broadcast (used to be ABC with an awful group of commentators) - at least it's the Speed crew now. And I guess it's a good thing to get F1 more exposure to the wider public. Did you notice how they explained things starting with Adam and Eve? They were talking to clueless nastycar Fox watchers

Yeah, did you see all these red flags with the white cross there in Montreal? That's not the paramedics flag (it often gets mixed up here in the US - they actually by mistake use the Swiss flag to indicate medical personnel  ) - BMW Sauber is headquartered in Hinwil, Switzerland - a stone's throw from where I grew up :D

The crew at Speed did an excellent job, unfortunetly the people at FOX did a lousy job cutting away at the worse time. At least it will be replayed on Tuesday on Speed. Hopefully FOX will show the French GP in High Def.

Actually DD their main headqtrs is in Munich, Germany- probably because thats where BMW's factory is. While they also have a headqtr in Hinwil.

I know - finances, suits, engines come from Munich, but the heart, the chassis, the spirit is still in Hinwil where it all began some 15 years ago...

Did you guys notice how Peter Windsor was totally silent - I think I first heard him talk during the after race interviews? Odd...
We had severe weather warnings on the screen, like every 10 minutes or so with the blue screen and beep and what not. Of course, all of them bloody alerts happened - you guessed it - NOT during commercials

What made me mad was that there was no pre-race show!! And how they cut out the interviews too.

what I would give to be in the motorhome with Dr. Mario Theissen and the boys partying late into the morning. I don't think BMW has a chance to win either championships but I like the fact that they can upset the order, its more interesting to see BMW upsetting Mercedes then Ferrari because BMW & Mercedes are global rivals. As for Heidfeld, he's in a slump just like Kubica last year and Kimi this year, I wouldn't write him off just yet, BMW, Dr. Mario Theissen, and Sauber has always been loyal to Nick and Nick has a hand in the success of BMW-Sauber has much as anyone there, for his devoted work, Dr. Mario Theissen will give Nick the remaining season to get himself out of his slump. As for next season, I can see BMW retaining Nick as a teammate to Robert, they work great together and Nick is consistent. He hasn't qualified well this year, sometimes in the middle of the pack but at race end you will find him in the top 5, that is consistent and superb racing, maybe not qualifying. As for Alonso, Dr. Mario Theissen has gone on records saying they are not interested in Alonso. BMW-Sauber is all about loyalty, honor, and teamwork, none of which Alonso has. Schumacher was loyal to Ferrari, Kimi was loyal to McLaren (until too many DNFs), Alonso will jump to anyone with a winning car all the while having one foot out the door, he hasn't been loyal to any of his teams and the minute any of his teammates are better you know he will throw a tantrum. BMW-Sauber is left with the option of, whose better then Nick on current grid of availabled drivers next year?? easy, Nick Heidfeld.
