Big big fan of the guy, and am very happy to have him at McLaren, but I sadly keep thinking if this "bad luck" of his could be something more?

McLaren are slipping away from Ferrari and BMW, and I can't help but think he should be bagging big points.

Is he struggling at MM, or is he the unluckiest driver on the grid?

He has shown on several occasions this season that he has the pace and can put himself in a position to get good results. If you can hold him accountable for badly-timed (for him) safety car periods, component failures, being hit by other drivers and being called in for what turned out to be an un-necessary pit stop, then yes, he's doing very badly.

Agreed. Let's also not forget Hamilton's up and down form recently.

Heikki's weakness is great for Ferrari and BMW for that matter constructors title as both teams only need worry about Hamilton's performance half the time. Great. Keep up the nice work Heikki.:twisted::mrgreen:

I've seen Raikkonen and Massa make idiots of themselves quite a few times lately.

He lacked Hamiltons pace at Canada but it was just one of those tracks.
He has been really unlucky at the other races where he has had the pace i wouldnt count him out at all and if you do then its at your peril!

Hello ;)
Heikki seems to be having such bad luck this year and it really isn't fair, I think he is a superb driver and you have seen the potential but then he is either having a hit up the backside, traffic, a front wheel failure and a stupid pit stop
Honestly I was so annoyed about yesterday, he didn't need to pit again, and he would of been a sure thing for the points, as he was fifth before he pitted, was not impressed and hopefully Mclaren now know how stupid they were too do so.

Heikki should get an award for having the worst luck in F1 this season, god knows he is def fast enough and could give lewis a run for his money most days but his luck this season is Chris Amon like. I hope things pick up at the next race im sure he will get a win this year, it would make him the 5th different race winner when was the last time that happend?

Exactly. F1 is very weird now and unpredictable... a factor behind that is seemingly the top drivers in the top teams screwing up all the time.
I don't think Heikki has screwed up as much, more his team, his luck, and safety cars sadly.

Kovvy has alot of potential, but to be honest it's just bad luck, as many drivers it is all about being at the right track, with the right set up!!! doen't winn all the races and neither will Kimi or Massa, the only Driver to be able to do this is Ferrari's genius Michael Schumacher! and Fernando Alonso, as they will be the only drivers able to do this, but Heikki will be supreme one day, it's just going to take time. Same As Piquet Jr.

Dead right Bud. He's had appalling luck but he's fast and without the bad luck would be close to Lewis.
