That was some lap by Lewis 1:17.886 Kubica 1:18.4

haven't watched it yet but another great performance from kubica. BMW are starting to get more consistent and beat the Ferrari's but the Ferrari's have never been strong at canada.

Great job from Alonso and Rosberg too, there are 5 different cars in the top 5, now this is going to be a great race.

What a lap!!

[McLaren Fan]

What a lap by Hamilton! A classic performance that will be talked about for a while. I really did think that when I looked at the practice times for this race that Ferrari were sandbagging after their improved 2008 performance at Monaco. Unless the Ferraris have a fair amount more fuel than the McLarens, you'd have to say they were a fair bit of the pace. The last sector in particular is murdering them. The Ferrari looks more glued to the track, but the McLarens are taking the curbs better, their straight-line speed is pretty decent compared to what I thought it would be and McLaren's pretty decent mechanical grip is paying dividends. A lot can happen in the race, what with the track breaking up, safety cars which are notorious at the Canadian Grand Prix, and some treacherous corners catching folk out, but I'm pretty confident that McLaren have the speed to take the win.

Outside of McLaren and Ferrari's situation, there were some great performances. Alonso did well with the Renault, completely outclassing Piquet once again. The latter is showing absolutely no signs of improvement whatsoever. Kubica's lap was also pretty impressive, which made Heidfeld eat crow once again, but at least he managed the top ten shootout this time round. Rosberg looks pretty good around the circuit as well, so good job to Williams and he. Barrichello put in a good lap too. Weber's fine form continues. I daresay that he would've been a little higher had he not have been unlucky to have gone off due the shocking breaking up of the track. Coulthard was made to look a tool again, but had his usual army of excuses lined up.

Overall, tomorrow looks like we will see a good Grand Prix. McLaren and Hamilton are the favourites, but a hell of a lot can happen, so I'm not getting too excited yet.

RB did just one hot lap towards the end of q3 - probably fueled up to his gills for the race to do a one-stopper.
FA was impressive with that Renault dog.

Where were the marmots today? Out on a riverboat ride?

I hope so. And, even more so, I hope that his single pit stop, should he take that strategy, doesn't have to come at a time when the pit lane is closed. I'd like to see Rubens get some more points on the board this season.

All about turn one..

If Kubica can keep it on the track I think he can challenge Lewis..

[Hanwombat]

Its great to see so many different drivers in the top 10

Webber . Just shows the potential of RBR when pushed.

Hm, I've always thought they have an engine in their car like everybody else

Did you see the bit when Lewis had all 4 wheels in the air!-loved that! Well done Robert that was a great lap!

Got to see Q3 without interuption after the Switzerland Vs Czech Republic game ended and was not impressed at the fact that Hamilton just wont go away. Was nice when Kubica momentarily took away Hamilton's pole but sad when he took it back.
I sure hope that McLaren Fan is right, and that the Ferraris were sandbagging, otherwise this is going to be another s*** race result wise if the devil wins again.
