IN TODAY'S SOCIETY, the economic and intangible rewards for extraordinary athletic achievements and winning performances are substantial. Therefore, there is a significant incentive for athletes to maximize their on-field performance, which is the paramount objective of sports competition. Virtually all athletes use various artificial means to enhance their body's natural performance while playing their respective sports. Question
How about Formula One Drivers ? [b]Are they getting tested too?

Well I wasn't talking about just simple drugs .In my mind was high end drugs Brain enhancement substances .I would gladly explain more about it .
Debate is around brain enhancement drugs
“Suppose you’re preparing for the school test , or going for a job interview — in those situations where you have to perform on that day, these drugs will be very attractive. The desire for cognitive enhancement is very strong, maybe stronger than for beauty, or athletic ability.”
20-milligram doses of Adderall it will transform you to real monster“I’m not talking about being able to perform longer hours without sleep (although that helps)“I’m talking about being able to take on twice the responsibility, work twice as fast, write more effectively, manage better, be more attentive, devise better and more creative strategies.” is anybody follows me ? what I'm trying to put on the discussions table ?
Winning one race it would set you for the rest of your life just think about it ?

F1 guys are keener on losing weight rather than beefing up. Look at Kubica, don't think he needs steroids to drop those lbs.

Maybe the Red Bull guys... they're probably all Caffe'd-up

In my opinion they should be tested after race

What for?? Its not like drugs will make their car go any faster. I think this idea is rather ridiculous.

I agree Rivelotion. What would be the point?

I'm fairly certain that the FIA have drugs testing in place. I seem to remember that they were intending to randomly drug test a couple of drivers last season (Magny-Cours?) but I don't know how common-place it is.

They do test the drivers. Reason being that not all performance enhancing drugs build muscle, and to be a top flight F1 driver we all know that you have to be super fit. So if towards the end of a race you can gain even a fraction of time per lap the temptation is always going to be there

Remember Tomas Enge? He was stripped of his 2002 F3000 title due to a positive marijuana test
It's a known fact that when you're drunk you tend to take more risks and drive faster; when you're stoned however, you tend to drive too slow - go figure :!:
