Piquet's been dissapointing, but the R28 isn't exactly a car threatening McLaren, Ferrari or BMW. Alonso is the only driver capable of getting anything out of the car and that's because he's showing why he's a double World Champion, even so Alonso doesn't like the car either.

If Renault choose to have a shootout with Piquet against somebody like Grosjean, I don't think they would do any better than Piquet.

Renault's cars have been traditionally hard to drive and require some getting used to. It took a while for Kovalainen to get going, and once he did, he was pretty fast. Piquet still has time to turn things around. I'd be prepared to give him another half a dozen Grands Prix. If there is no significant improvement, then he should be given the boot.

I dont see it happening , why would Redbull take Piquet? if Renualt are smart they will hold on to him for next year although i dont think Flav has the patience do that

I think it's too early for Renault to be doing anything. I'd give Piquet up to half a dozen Grands Prix to get his act together. Switching drivers so late in the season could actually make matters worse, for Renaults are tough to drive, so the new driver won't be setting the world alight for a while. I think Piquet will stick around at Renault until the end of the season. Whether he stays after that, I'm really not sure. Fraudster Flavio is not renowned for his patience; I daresay he's actively searching for a replacement for Piquet at the minute. Vettel will go to Red Bull next year and Coulthard will most likely retire. If a seat comes up in a team at the back of the grid, he'd be the favourite for that, but I don't see much coming up on that front. Commentary for the BBC anybody?

Agreed, if anybody were to move to Renault now and dint do well instantly, the Renault staff and fans would more than likely call for their head as well, it wouldn't be a wise decision to change anything until the end of the season in my opinion.

Slightly different the article that i reaqd but i now cant find. :)

The one that i read goes like this.

DC to stay at Red Bull as the experienced driver out of the team to develop the car further.
Webber to Renault.
Piquet to STR.
Vettel or Bourdais to RBR.

Sounds plausible

I'm not sure if Webber would want to go to Renault. He said he's happy where he is at Red Bull right now and is trying to negotiate a new contract. Going to Renault would be a bit of a backwards step.

No, cos "Red Bull is the Renault B-Team"

Webber has already stated he wants to stay at Redbull, and to suggest they are the Renault B-team is just nonsense

Okay, since you are apparently unfamiliar with Mr. Webber's previous remarks when switching teams, you can ignore that joke.

This season maybe, but next season Renault will know they need to pull their finger out and i can see them being competetive once again.
