And Kimi does have a tendency to doze off behind the wheel.

Suppose but still it wasen't as if he was 20 seconds behind Lewis, he was fighting for the lead of a grand prix. Amazes me how he could get bored even if Budapest is a terrible track.

Raikkonen has been making noises about leaving Formula One at some stage. It's a question of when, not if. I think he's already wasted much of his time in Formula One and will be completely wasting his ability when he does prematurely leave the sport. But, at the end of the day, it's his own decision.

I think Alonso would be a positive signing for Ferrari. Alonso is an arrogant and egotistic twat, but he's a brilliant driver. He can get the best out of his equipment and provides excellent feedback in testing. Although Raikkonen has improved his act since leaving McLaren, I still feel he has a way to go to equal Alonso in those areas. The main drawback with Alonso is that he can freak out under pressure and tends to hit back at the team. Ferrari, however, would probably acquiesce to his demand to be the team's number one driver and have the resources and personnel to produce competitive cars, so the team should be spared any flak.

i can really see him going, looks like he cant be bothered so much anymore, he hasnt the same desire as the others, but thatd mean fa going to ferrari, heart break  unless renaut can significantly improve this/next year

To be honest, I think it would be better that Alonso leaves Renault, for he and the team both. Alonso has lost interest in Renault, so moving to Ferrari would be a fresh start for him. Renault could then employ another talented, hungrier driver.

The downside is, they would lose a good development asset, which means that they could see themselves struggling for a few more years. I'd rather Alonso stayed at Renault and helped them become a winning team again.

If it weren't for his personality, he'd be the best all-round driver on the grid at the moment. However, it's how he reacts to certain things that makes him a liability.

at least then they might be able to get 2 decent ones, probably better than now, but to get 2 decent ones isnt so easy this year it seems

its just a shame, for me anyway, would like to see fa at renault for a lot longer

in the news was that renaults CEO wants to stay in f1, heres hoping!

If Alonso goes, I think Bourdais would be a good option for Renault. He knows how to win, it would be good for the French prescence in F1 and if Renault are still battling for points next year, he will see it as a massive step forward.

Kimi is better then Alonso any day, I don't believe this story. Kimi doesn't love the spot light. Akm you are spanish why can't you be proud of yourself?:mrgreen:

Solo una cosa para ti BigMouth. Quiero decirte que tu tienes una boca grande. Tu eres un gran tonto si piensas que yo soy española solo porque a mi me gusta Alonso y si se hablar el idioma español. ¿Yo soy eslovena-italiana, me entiendes? ¡No olvidartelo jamas!

(Just one thing for you Bigmouth. I want to tell you that you have a big mouth. You are a big idiot if you think that I am Spanish just because I like Alonso and I know how to speak the Spanish language. I am Slovene-Italian, do you understand me? Don't ever forget it!)

LMAO¬ :D

Kimi is making £50 million a year at the very least he should see out his contract till the end of the 2009 season. Alonso would be good at Ferrari but he will not be number 1 and I'd even assume that Massa might be given preferential treatment at the start. But Alonso's superior driving ability will make him the number 1 in the end bagging him another world title

I really think that Alonso is gonna struggle if he leaves renault, i mean they adore him there and he isnt going to get the treatment he is used to at any team number one or not. We saw what happens when alonso doesnt get exactly what he wants when he was with mclaren, so why Ferrari would want him i dont know.
They would be better off gunning for kubica or sutil

Losing an interested Alonso is a negative thing for any team. I'm not so sure how bad it could be to lose a driver that has gone beyond caring.

I agree. You should honour your contract. After that, you can do as you please.
